@shadowbiz , you still looking for anime to watch, or have you put that to rest? Well, I've got a recommendation right off the bat if you're still interested. "Scrapped Princess," it's a dark, but fun and entertaining bit of Fantasy/Sci-Fi that's never boring. Just prepare for a lot of FEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELS, though.

Yes, to "Tower of God". No, to "God of High School". What did you make of Tower? I liked it fine. It didn't wow me, but it was enjoyable.

Good, that it's changing the landscape however. It reminds me of Hunter x Hunter. Im tempted to read the source material. Apparently we're in for a lot of twists and turns in future seasons

It wasn't the anime I started out with ("Cowboy Bebop", "Slayers", and "Fushigi Yuugi" were) and people just kept telling me that DBZ was the best thing EVER. So I tried it out. Wasn't impressed. The hype had put the series on such a pedestal that it could never live up to it for someone coming in from the hype train station.

Dragonball z is too vanilla compared to other anime but it will always have a special place for me as I grew up with it

I'm not one of those "Yeah, killing off characters is awesome! It makes the show so much edgier," types, but I do prefer that if they're going to, there is some kind of consequence for it.

Here's one that will keep you busy for a while if you've never seen it: Slayers. Fun, quirky fantasy-adventure series with multiple seasons.

I tried the pilot for Monster-about a doctor who has to make a choice on whose life to save. Then going on from that and how the world was affected by that decision. Only really watching it because of glass reflections (excellent anime reviewer). Will watch next three so I can finish watching the review lol

I haven't rewatched it since I finished not long after it was brought Westward. I might need to amend that.

I actually meant the original series. No again lol Okay. Well, it's worth checking out, if only for it's importance as one of the key players in why anime eventually came West in droves. I still enjoy the original series, but I understand it's old, and my nostalgia for it has a lot to do with my continued fondness.

Should at least be unique considering the involvement of the Wachowskis

I hold no illusions about it being a great film, but it was a fun, silly little rump I still think people were too hard on.

Most of them don't have them "oomph" or spirit the old one did.

Wow I haven't posted here in months. I have been watching a decent amount of anime and reading manga for this time so I have several suggestions.
First of all Cowboy Bebop is definitely one of the best anime I've seen. I'm not too big on DB or DBZ because while it may be a classic but it feels like a very vanilla anime and is not as good as any more recent anime.
I'd recommend The Promised Neverland, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (Both Anime and Manga), Tokyo Ghoul and Tokyo Ghoul: Re (Manga; the anime sucks besides Season 1), Death Note, Fist of the North Star and Berserk(Manga).

A total freaking classic, isn't it? And the rest: all good picks. Especially "Berserk" in printed form, which is unfortunately the only reliable venue it has.

Didn't know about any printed forms for Berserk. I'm just currently reading it on Mangadex.
