I doubt they would want to paint Wakanda in a negative light. Nevermind I thought you meant something else

Hydra. We haven't discussed Hydra yet. The reason Bucky went to Zemo was because Isiah told him Hydra had taken his blood and that Zemo was important because he knew everything about Hydra. Sooooo, is Hydra important here? Does this lend any credence to the idea that someone like Zola is the Power Broker? I will freak out if Zola is Power Broker. If that leads to a Hydra resurgence, I'll have a "psychotic break" from the awesomeness.

I would like to put this to rest, FGA was not the guest poster. weirdraptor should not have falsely accused him. As admin, I can see IP addresses, emails, and other identifying factors. I can say with 100% certitude that John Walker was not FGA. Thank you. Hmm not to dwell on this but there are vpns too. Not to throw shade at FGA or complicate things either. Some could also use wifi and different data plans. I guess re guests, it's for the best for now. Why is Rap gone now?

I just noticed, Agent 13 is in the bar when the trio arrives. She puts her hood up when she spots them so as not to be noticed and walks away, presumably keeping tabs on the boys from afar. Not sure what she’s up to but she is not the Power Broker.

Watched episode 2. Great episode. I really really HATED that scene with the cops. Very disappointing that they felt the need to shoehorn that in. But other than that I enjoyed it

That was just, DAMN. The best episode. Watching USAgent and Baron Zemo Walking down the street with The Winter Soldier and The Falcon, is just a pinnacle of why it was worth doing a connected universe in the first place. Amazing.
Where to start? That opening. Seeing the moment Bucky accepted that he was free. I teared up with him as his tears turned to joy.
Sam speaking one one one with the enemy as they tried to find common ground. What a scene that was. This is how we should work together as people.
USAgent hits the end of his rope, several times. Getting shown up, caving to the serum, losing his friend, and finally crossing the line. Brilliant. I love this character.
The Dora, Zemo. This episode is one of the best things I’ve ever seen, and I was around when Kathy Ireland made the cover.

That first scene in Wakanda... Wow. That last scene in Riga... Yikes Both of these were so intense. This episode has so much awesome. So much heart and character. So much action. This is one of the best things they’ve ever done.

Wakandan women are badass 😍. Poor Bucky getting pawned by having his arm taken off lol. Faux Captain America needs to go cause he is bat shit crazy. Sam needs to get over his issues and pick up the mantle already. Zemo is a snake in the grass but damn if Daniel does not make him charming ❤️️. Or it could just be me lusting after him lmao. I lol when the fighting started and he nonchalantly kept enjoying his drink. I was glad he shot Karli and tried to destroy the super serum. Any sympathy I have for a character goes out the window once they start becoming worse than what they are fighting unless there is a big redemption arc.

Fantastic episode - I love the show's overall sophistication in handling its themes. That last shot was a watershed for Disney - blood on the proverbial flag. I did not expect them to pay off on the Wakanda references as satisfyingly as they did.
I know everyone thinks psycho Cap has to go, but I want more deranged Americana-themed bloodshed. If they ground him, I'll be disappointed. He's got to go head-to-head with Sam in the finale.
Favorite moment? The look on Bucky's face when Ayo ninja'ed his arm off. He looked deeply wounded and betrayed. He's been out in the field with a vulnerability in his primary weapon all this time. I realize the Wakandans likely did this should their programming cure fail or somehow be reversed, but it's still not a good look. Ayo's got to make that right. Can I start the Ayo/Bucky ship now? 'Tension' is real.
I think the Power Broker is someone we know, at the very least, or we would have seen him/her by now.
I was just starting to like Hoskin's authoritative American brogue. The show's bass frequency has just dropped 5db with this episode - RIP Battlestar.
Did anyone else notice the weird shadow in Zemo's bathroom? Definitely Mephisto. It's about to get satanic in here!

I'll echo you here. I think this play on the theme of "where are the bounds of super powers". It perfectly follows the ideas of Civil War but in a little different context. Carlie has good intentions but takes her power too far. Walker has good intentions but takes his power too far. Zemo thinks the solution is no super soldiers. Falcon and Buck think the solution is the right super soldiers. But who draws that line, and can humanity in general be trusted with this type of ability. Who should be trusted with it if anybody? They did something like this in Black Panther where every single character had their own version of what the correct action was, even amongst those who were on the same side. It's fantastic writing. Just top notch.

One thing is for sure; there's no putting the genie back in the bottle now that the super-soldier (bio)tech is out in the wild. For every Steve, there will be a Karli. This episode is an excellent precursor to the mutant conversation.

I love the juxtaposition of Hoskins and Sam's answers to the big question. Lamar was like, "Hell yeah, I'd take it."

Marvel actually let US Agent kill a man with the shield and show the blood dripping of that same shield.
Can people stop saying you need an R-rating to be dark and gritty? Can people stop saying Marvel is only for kids and only comedy? Can people stop saying Marvel doesnt take risks? Can people stop saying death in the MCU doesnt mean anything?

Legendary image. And the MCU has gone to dark places repeatedly. The thing is they’re well balanced. And if you want a film that tilts more towards constantly dramatic, you’re in luck because several already exist, and Black Widow and Eternals are right around the corner.

Quick thoughts on Sharon Carter
- A lot of questions surrounding what she's doing and how long she's been doing it, why Steve didn't pardon her, etc
- First, don't forget, the MCU is now set in 2024, so it's been 8 years since Civil War for her, not 5
- Endgame lists her among the dusted, but don't forget that list also includes the missing. FFH specifically stated that many people had used the opportunity to go off the grid, and we know Scott Lang for instance was listed but not dusted.
- We also have no idea what efforts Steve made, what Sharon's motivations are, if she's currently pardoned but undercover, etc etc etc. We simply don't know anything about the situation.
- Point being, there's a lot left to play out on this particular character.

Finally got around to Marvel Studios Legends, and these are great little publicity pieces for these heretofore not main characters. They give a fantastic overview of their journey and show you how far Sam, and Wanda, and Vision, and Bucky, etc have come. And they’ve all come a damn long way.
I appreciate this series like nothing else I’ve ever watched, and these hall of fame induction speech type videos remind me of how they take genuine pleasure in starting these characters in a place they can grow and then defining them more and more with each appearance. It truly is the most impressive, patient, thoughtful cinematic project I’ve ever seen.
Phase 4 was always up in the air for me. Just didn’t know how it would go or how I’d feel after they accomplished their mission of the Infinity Gauntlet. But these shows have made me more of a fan than I’ve ever been. It’s just all so lived in and expansive in an even bigger way.

It seems that some people are up in arms (no pun intended) about the fact that the Wakandans build a fail-safe into Bucky's arm.
In the latest episode, Ayo rapidly disarms (pun intended) Bucky during a fight with a few skillfully-placed hand gestures.
Does anyone see this as a betrayal on the part of the Wakandan's? I think it would have been more than reasonable for Shuri and the team to devise a failsafe for the arm should their deprogramming have failed.
At the same time, I do think Ayo owes Bucky an apology or something like it. She did perform the action in mixed company, which showcases the vulnerability. She owed him some professional courtesy in that regard.
