I think it’s interesting how the Netherlands skips an Europa League birth. I know the Champions League group phase and qualifying round births both could feed to Europa League, but I thought it was interesting that third place just skips to the conference league. BTW, I just watched Celtic VS Rangers yesterday. Never watched Scottish Premiereship, and wow, that crowd was jacked! We do have an Europa League spot. But that goes to the winner of the national cup. However this year Ajax and PSV will play the final. If they remain the top 2 for this season that ticket will go to the number three in the league. Number 4 will play Conference League and number 5-8 will have a play off for the final ticket. Actually Dutch football is on the rise. We are catching the Portuguese League and it may very well be that in season 24/25 we will have three Champions League tickets. Thats awesome. I didn’t know about the other qualification. But I like that you might pass Portugal. I’ve got nothing for Porto, Sporting, or Benfica. I was watching Scottish ball yesterday. It seems really top heavy. Yo did you see that fan brawl in Mexico? Nuts

This means next week we can lose with a two goal deficit at home and still go into the quarter final. Last time Feyenoord played European football in March/April was 2002. That year... we won the cup... ArArArchStanton the video is out. Enjoy man.

This Ajax vs Benfica match surely has you hyped? Ajax winning would be a great step up for the Netherlands if they’re going to pass Portugal

Dont when the video will be out but Fryenoord has won away at Partizan Belgrade with a 2-5 score. This means next week we can lose with a two goal deficit at home and still go into the quarter final. Last time Feyenoord played European football in March/April was 2002. That year... we won the cup... Im getting much more into the other European competitions. I was just on champions league but I really love the idea of the rest of the table getting to play across Europe. I don’t have a good handle on most of the other conference league teams. Leicester, Marseille, and Roma are all solid mid table teams in their country. Where do you see feyenoord amongst those still left?

AWESOME COMEBACK! 2 great goals. I thought the first he might have waited too long to cross it but he made it work. Fantastic fun to get there. And the second was fortunate even though the ball in was clever. Just a heads up cleanup with a wonderful strike to the post. Good stuff!
PS! What up with the flares on the field delay? Lol.

Its football. Sometimes emotions take over. It didnt help them btw. Feyenoord took the five minutes in the dressingroom to set things up correct tactically speaking and pretty soon after that the winning goal was scored.

Just finished watching the Ajax vs Benfica match and I was sad that the Netherlands couldn’t top Portugal. I don’t know how the coefficient is looking but that would have helped for the Eredivisie to pass them.
I’m actually concerned about France. Outside of PSG, they don’t have a ton up top, and PSG went out early to Spain. Past them, Lille, Monaco, Nice, Brest, etc aren’t all that great. I mean they’re good but if I’m Ajax I’m not quaking in my boots over them. You need Feyenoord to start taking down Porto types lol

They are now in the quarterfinals. The draw has set them up against a familiar team Slavia Prague. Matches to played in early April.

Feyenoord also won the home game against Slavia with 3-1. Summary will follow later. They are now in the quarterfinals. The draw has set them up against a familiar team Slavia Prague. Matches to played in early April. Awesome. I hadn’t looked for the 3-1 game yet, but glad they moved on strong. I don’t know a thing about Prague. Let me check. Dang their home jersey is oddly familiar. Lol. Never looked up the Czech league before. They’re killing it but still in 2nd there and more interesting went one and done through both the champions and Europa league qualifying rounds. Did well in the group stage if the conference league but I think Feyenoord has this through to the round of 8

Away we drew but we played with 10 men for 75% of the game after a Guus Til red card. They will be missing two defenders in the first game in Rotterdam so Feyenoord needs to be assertive and try to finish the job in the first game. But first... tomorrow... Ajax vs Feyenoord in Amsterdam.

I’d expect 3rd in the Eredivisie to beat 2nd in the Czech Republic

Let me know when Feyenoords next Conference League match is, I'm afraid to look and see the result.
Also, close against Ajax. I'm amazed that the top 3 have remained the same in order for so long with it being so close near the top. I saw Twente pulled into 4th though.

Sigh.... We're on the last International break before the end of the season now. The only Netherlands national player I recall knowing by name was Arjen Robben although obviously I know Van Persie. And looking down the team I’m very familiar with Van Dijk, Ake, and Krul from the Premiere League this year. So good stuff.
