It was meant as a joke, but at the same time, if you took just the segment of For All Time. Always. where He Who Remains explains how the multiverse was discovered, and the multiversal war started, and then made that into a movie... you might have one of the greatest cinematic science fiction films ever devised, and that was just the backstory. This makes the Infinity saga feel like a quest to find Zsa Zsa Gabor's missing costume jewelry. we're on a another level now. It's a very exciting time. Makes me wonder if we're going to see the older "Iron Lad" again from Endgame? The Kang variant game is going to be explosive... The Lokis have serious competition now. Quantumania just shot up to the top of my must-see MCU list. And consider this, the invisible hand that guides all of existence in the MCU belongs to a man of African decent. A scientist, a teacher, a guardian, a conqueror... That is inclusion at its most organic and most relevant. I'm so hyped for the future of the MCU that I might not be hyped at all... I'm in a superposition of quantum states! This shit is bananas!!

Tough for me to decide but Ill say it's between Dr Strange 2, Spider-Man 3 (just because of the possibility of Tobey and Andrew) or Moon Knight

And if Kang shows up in any of those projects, I'm going to need a subscription to adult diapers.

Did anyone else scream when they first saw Jonathan Majors? I loved the Miss Minutes faced statues in the opening hall. Then her appearance. Then, Boom! Kang eating an apple. Eating an Apple. There’s something about it that just makes you look like an asshole.

The feels just from the opening logo and hearing all the superheros ❤️️ Oh shit yeah, glad you mentioned that. Haunting and cool and this show. I’ll say it again, Loki was the show everybody wondered why they were even making it, and out of nowhere it has become the most pivotal project of phase 4. More than anything, this has changed the game. The multiverse just exploded.

I just want to comment on how beautiful this episode was. The black holes, the music, the branching timelines through (reality?), the castle, all of it. It was gorgeous to behold

I absolutely love Loki's character arc ❤️️ This episode was sad for me. They are basically characters from someone's story. The thought of no free will no making your own destiny depresses the fuck out of me. I can not wait to see how this plays out in the Marvel movies and TV shows. Now we have several versions of an evil villain causing untold havoc and death.

It was gorgeous to behold I wish we could have seen more of this and less talking. And rather than Kang use the little holograms, maybe a full screen exposition would be nice...but then there are budgets and this is TV and not the movies, so....

I haven’t seen the show, but I have shared experience with Loki. I too know what it’s like to encounter numerous variants of myself. AQUA JAR!™ and Lord Ackbar know what I’m talking about!

I was happy to find this, Alioth has deep comic origins alongside Kang and the TVA, and seems to have been portrayed very accurately. I always love when they include deep cuts like this. marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Alioth_(Temporal_Limbo)

If the outcome is known in advance, did you make any choices? If you don't know about it, you certainly feel like you're making choices, but that illusion could also extend to what percentage of your day to day activities and responses are a result of societal conditioning vs actual free will. Do I like beer or did I develop a habit when surrounded by the expectation of drinking for an extended period? This show is a mind blow on so many levels.

Where does free will and the fact that people can be unpredictable come into this? Did this being take into account that at the last moment someone could do something you never expected? Did Loki not prove that by doing the exact opposite of what was expected of him? I would love to see Doctor Strange confront this being. He too can see the outcome of things. Yet out of the millions of possibilities all it took was that one as we saw in Avengers to turn the tide.

Some interesting thoughts on the finale: Yeah, I like Rob's brand of speculation. He's not trying to be right; it's more like exercising a creative muscle in the brain based on his encyclopedic knowledge of comic books. I think he's wrong about Loki being in an alternate dimension inside the TVA. The TVA exists outside of time. Any changes to it would therefore be singular. I don't there are infinite versions of the TVA itself, just the variants who inhabit it.

After watching the finale a third time, the ending feels like that moment you make the wrong choice in a choose your own adventure book.
Also, this show is one of my favorite things they've ever done. It’s so meta, it’s so world building, it’s so full of iconography, and contemplative epistemology. I love it. What an incredible journey.

The music in this show too. It swings from forcefully epic during establishing shots and action, to that haunting sad violin as they get introspective, and then a lot of cool vibes as they show us space and time, Frog Thor and the Thanos copter. It’s just all so good to the ears

Are we certain it's going to be the same Kang we just met?
