Rogue One is my favorite or the Disney Star Wars films, so I'm definitely looking forward to checking this out. Hopefully we avoid desert planets this time and actually explore other words that we haven't really seen before. YOU DONT LIKE DESERT PLANETS EITHER?! WHAT THE F?! We've gotten like 50 TV spinoffs and movies that featured it!

I know the @ghostyghostington and AQUA JAR!™ are just in love with Disneyflix. Any thoughts? To be honest I don’t even know what Andor is. Is it a planet?

Googled ANDOR. I guess he’s a dude? (Really sounds like the name of a planet)
Honest to god the only original character I remember from that movie with any clarity is Raddus. The main cast left zero impression on me. I can recall the protagonist being a feisty brunette chick but that’s all.

Will CGI Tarkin be in this? I still can’t believe they did that. So soulless and morbid. The Mouse has no scruples.

Is it a planet? yep Andor, also known as Andoria, was the Andorian homeworld and capital of its empire—a founding member of the United Federation of Planets. A satellite of a gas giant in the Beta Quadrant, its capital city was Laikan. It was also home to the Aenar, a minority sub-species. (DS9 - Worlds of DS9 novel: Andor: Paradigm, ENT episode: "The Aenar")

I've watched the three episodes and honestly I actually like what I've seen so far. It has a rough start but it picks up by episode 3, which explains why it started with three episodes.
The show as of now hasn't delved into fanservice, which is a good thing in my opinion and i really hope that they don't bring in any major characters from other shows or movies into this series, outside of maybe some small appearances from some Rogue One characters considering this is a prequel to that movie.
My issue with this new Star Wars stuff is it's reliant on fan favorite characters like Luke, Leia, Obi-Wan and even Boba Fett. This makes the Star Wars universe feel smaller to me and I wish we would get more new characters that aren't tied to the movies.

I just finished all three episodes. I think it's solid so far. I've been on team Gilroy for a while now. Even when they (Tony/Dan) deliver a misfire, it usually has some mineral to ponder.
The world-building is pristine, the performances are exceptional, and the show benefits greatly from mostly eschewing Disney's much-touted StageCraft production technology. Genuine backgrounds are always the way to go for outdoor scenery. The world of Andor feels lived-in. The Gilroys have ambition; Andor isn't just a remix of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, it's an origin show for the rebellion. You know, that thing all those guys in the beanies have wanted to crush since 1978.
I hope they go deeper into the political underpinnings they are hinting at, but, at the same time, Andor's personal story is at the very least interesting.
The music is also tremendously good. It's not the usual bombastic cues that are typical of Star Wars music. It might be my next soundtrack acquisition on vinyl.
Even a cute, power-challenged droid can't dull the drama. Action sequences are better than average, but secondary to the story.
Massively good narrative structure and dialogue for a change.
BBY? Before Yavin?

I guess that's canon now. Although Im a little bit confused. Did the expanded universe use it first or the fandom? AQUA KEN! or AQUA JAR!™ you two would probably know Only seen two episodes but I love it so far. I enjoy the grittiness of the show. This guy is like a darker Han Solo

AQUA KEN! or AQUA JAR!™ you two would probably know it's from the novels, i read the first 20 or so paperbacks, and they would list a timeline in the front to clarify where that particular story took place ( for example "4 years ABY" ) very few things were listed as BBY, usually only the birth of the twins ( this was before the prequels came out ) and i swear it was 18 then ( it is 19 now )
