James Gunn said that Will Smith is not reprising his role as Deadshot-for now.

Just watched this last night 😀
I watched a little bit of the podcast and will finish it later. But overall I enjoyed it. I was shocked at the amount of gore in it and thought that was unnecessary but it wasn’t a dealbreaker for me. I will check out the peacemaker series soon

Well, this movie finally aired on TV here...which I recorded and watched the recording of (because I never saw it at the theatre and there was NO WAY I was ever going to pay money to watch this by buying it on DVD/Blu-ray...even when it became pretty cheap). It was pretty much everything I expected it to be, typical Gunn (which I'm not a fan of), but there were a few things I liked: Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn continues to be one of the only things about the DCEU I've enjoyed (whereas I was never much a fan of the character prior to her being brought into live-action), so it's no surprise she was the highlight of the film for me and I wasn't really interested whenever she was offscreen. Though the other character I liked in the movie was Ratcatcher II and her constant rat friend, Sebastian. They were cool. In relation to them, the piece of music that played where she summoned every possible rat she could to take out the Big Bad is one I've been listening to on repeat via YouTube since finishing the movie. Everyone always gushes over Gunn's use of music, which I (like with Gunn himself) have never seen the big deal about...but this particular piece, I'll admit, is pretty great. I'm currently trying to decide which version I like better - that^ one (which was used in the movie) or this other 'epic' version... Gunn's 'humour' isn't really the sort of thing I find funny, but I did get a couple of chuckles during one or two scenes of the movie...but that was it.

I guess it goes w/o saying, but James Gunn said there's gonna be no film followup to his SS.

That's a lovely way of saying, "I'd rather chew glass than play that character ever again."

That's a lovely way of saying, "I'd rather chew glass than play that character ever again." Shes done plenty with the role. Makes sense if she wants to move on.
