30 movies will be the bigger achievement though. It may be more accurate it say 25 outings so far plus 4 tv shows? Although I suspect the debate amongst the fandom will heat up as to whether Raimi and Garfield Spidey movies are now technically canon. Maybe even the Venom and X Men series? The McU could instantly be 40+ outings deep! Crazy. Those will never be canon because not produced by Marvel Studios. It’s certainly a grey area, I agree. I suppose it’s all semantics in the end. If a movie features characters from a movie from a different series does that then make it part of the same canon? The question will surely keep the fandom busy for a while.

Grandmaster - apologies but, I can't risk creating the usual reactions gallery this time. I'd love to, but I hear that people are spoiling key plot points of the film on Twitter. Maybe someone else who is less invested in the movie can dive in this time? I haven't seen anything outside of the first two trailers, and I'm trying to remain spoiler-free if I can. This property is a big deal for me, personally. I can say that a friend who saw the press screening in NY last night was "disappointed" and felt Eternals was a "low point" for the franchise. That's not great news, but I am still excited to see the film on opening day to decide for myself.

Less action, more story and character. If that is the case Im happy because thats what Im in for.

I'm destined to view this film through the lens of nostalgia. Still, Eternals is one of the first properties I encountered as a young reader that tried to grabble with "big" ideas. I have expectations of what I think the film should be based on Kirby's work, but I'm beyond excited to see Chloé Zhao's interpretation. My anticipation for Eternals is probably similar to how some feel about Dune.

I'm told that the gaming website, polygon.com, also has heavy spoilers - in their article titles no less. Avoid searching Eternals news if you care to remain unspoiled.

As an Ackbar, I have an instinct for TRAPS. And right now, my TRAP sense is telling me that this movie will not be one. I’m expecting one of Marvel’s best, and I don’t think I’ll be disappointed.

I was literally seconds away from making the rounds before a cautionary text came in from my contact. Holy close call, Batman!I'm officially on hiatus from YouTube and Twitter until I see the film. Spoilers and clickbait sites are out of control. The press should be banned from seeing after-credits scenes. There is no value in their review of a stinger. It rarely ever adds anything or changes their opinion of the film in a material way. When is the last time you heard a critic say, 'that MCU movie sucked, but I'm giving it a 10 out of 10 because of the end credits scene?' Letting YouTubers have access to those critical plot developments only helps them with influence peddling. Very frustrating…

So irresponsible. Gotta be extra cautious to avoid this one.

Lord Death ManHere are some spoiler free first reactions. Be aware at the end there may be (I stopped the video) but John gives you time to tap out.

Rob's out of the theater reaction. Campea's partner in crime on the show. Interesting what he had to say about it. Minor spoiler towards the end but we already know anyway

Thanks for sharing this Grandmaster, but I'm taking zero chances… I know that most people mean well, but people are getting spoiled left and right. My friend who went to the press screening shared that he thinks Eternals is far better than his initial review. I was tempted to ask for more details, but I didn't want to put myself in a position where I just caved and started asking for specific information. I want to see Eternals cold (or as cold as possible). I'd feel the same way about a Future Foundation, X-Statix or "New X-Men" film.

Reviews are really mixed right now. Positive sure, but far more mixed than the norm for the MCU.

Yeah, I just watched a few YouTube reviews, including Jeremy Johns. It sounds like it would be wise to go in with low expectations. Which bums me out because I really had high hopes for this one.

Well this is interesting. Does the cast know this?
Marvel Producer Downplays Eternals 2
Speaking to The Toronto Sun, Moore said an Eternals sequel, while not out of the question, isn't completely guaranteed. "It’s not something that is a must-have," he said. "Obviously, we have ideas of where we could go, but there isn’t a hard and fast rule where we have to have three of these things and this is the first."
