I don’t have to update it at all. The multiverse will introduce the X Men. For a moment I thought it may involve Evans, but maybe it doesn’t. Same difference really. I was just asking a question, dude. Stop being so defensive.

So those post credits.
Monica is headed to the Peak as Photon where her and Carole are going to reunite in a badass sequel
Wanda is on the Astral Plane while awake making tea, studying the Darkhold but without a proper education. And then she hears her kids scream. This can only mean trouble.
And Vision, awaking the memories in a new form. “Who knows what I’ll be next”. He was just an amazing part of this series. The fight ending in a library and turning into and intellectual exercise. Brilliant.

Giving how some of the actors hyped up the guest character I don't blame anyone for being disappointed. It's also in a post credit scene as well.

Paul Bettany was talking about himself when he said he finally worked with an actor he always wanted to work with.

I just happened to think of it and was really using it to make discussion more than anything else. I'll be leaving this thread now. *slinks away*

It was pretty good! I have a few mixed feelings about things that happened but I'm definitely not mixed about enjoying the episode and the series. It was peculiar that Wanda exiled Agatha to being a caricature. It's not that different from what she did to the townspeople. She definitely deserved something, but this punishment robs people of their free will. It's practically theft of life. The townspeople had every right to want her blood too. I feel for Wanda but by that point, giving them back their lives and freedom won't undo the violation.
I was wrong about Wanda's kids not being real. I thought they'd be the sole survivors of the fantasy world recoiling. She didn't give birth after all? I guess not. Quicksilver was a cool revelation too. I thought Agatha created him out of thin air but what we saw was her teleporting him from somewhere else, and in character. Vision's existential battle with himself was resolved nicely. The dicky SWORD guy got his comeuppance. Wanda's rune game was smart.
I have no idea where they go from here and that's how I like it. Oh and there's the matter of who that Skrull was pointing to. If it wasn't directly up, I'd say Doctor Strange, but he pointed up at space so I'm guessing Fury.

I know you guys typically disagree with my KAPOW-tastic theories, but I had one about Falcon...
I was thinking How can Sam be Captain America without the serum? Will he just fight as a regularly trained soldier? Then it hit me: he won’t be Cap in the same sense. He will simply remain essentially the same but with a simple rebrand. He will keep the wings and fight exactly the same, but repaint his suit with Cap colors and keep flying, but carry the shield too.
What say you?

Captain America is just a title and Steve thought he was the right man for the job. He had all the qualities of a superhero.

I’d be pretty sure in saying he’ll remain Falcon as he is now. I’m still suspicious that this maintains the team up angle, with he Bucky bonding as people but also sharing this mantle. Maybe not, but it does seem a thematically fitting possibility. And Bucky of course does have a serum.

Honestly, I think he’s outlived his relevance to the series. He is a great character, but his main purpose was to provide emotional stakes for Steve. Sam can evolve past his sidekick role to become a true Avenger. I’m not sure that’s really an interesting path for Buck though. But maybe.

Having read the comics, Bucky's big thing was ultimately overcoming the terrible things that happened to him, and redeeming himself. Showing himself to be a genuine hero and the rightful heir to Captain America. I agree that his current role has probably been fully explored, but that redemption is his legacy. Since they have this series featuring these two, I'd be a little surprised if they don't at least take a giant step towards that, if not get there completely. It's a very natural arc for that character. No guarantees, but if that's not where this is headed, then I'm not sure where they're headed at all.

His redemption arc will certainly continue in this series. What about after this series though? I can see Sam continuing to show up in his role as Cap as he carries the mantle. But I don’t see Bucky just hanging around without feeling pointless

The concept of his redemptions fits nicely with those two former rivals ending up as friends sharing that mantle.

Killgrave. Like Wanda said to Agatha, at least she took over Westview by accident and then gave up her control over the town. Killgrave just plunged in, knowingly and willfully.

Kilgrave. Wanda took control of Westview instinctually. There was no malice in the act.
