The full trailer will drop during the Halftime show at the AFC Championship Game.
Pablo Schreiber (Den of Thieves; Skyscraper) is playing Master Chief and Natasha McElhone is playing Dr. Halsey. It's being produced by Steven Spielberg's Amblin Television.

I'll watch it but I'm not too crazy about Cortana look. Glad that Jen Taylor is still voicing her.

Based on this trailer, Halo "The Series" has the look and feel of an elaborate fan-made production where they could not source any music or voices from the actual IP.
It's sad that someone finally felt like a show with a guy who wears his helmet 99.9% of the time could finally be made because… Well… Mando.
I've not been waiting for this moment all my life. Oh no.

I will watch it.
I couldn't care less whether or not it matches up to the game.
I enjoyed WARCRAFT for the same reason.

I was never much of a Halo guy. While everyone else was obsessed with Halo I was playing Splinter Cell. As HELMETED sci fi game protagonists go I’d be more interested in a Samus Aran show. She kicks Master Chief’s butt.

I never played the game. I’m not downplaying them but video games became much less time consuming for me after college and I always had PlayStation anyway. So I never played any Halo. Consequently I’m not terribly interested in the show. But I hope everyone enjoys it!

Three episodes and honestly, it's not very good. Not the worst video game adaption ever made but wasted potential for sure.
It's amusing that Paramount struck gold with Sonic the Hedgehog, but dropped the ball on Halo, which honestly should have been a easy thing to adapt.

I watched the first two episodes yesterday. Honestly, it was a lot better than those horrid trailers. Still, it's not that great overall. I'd love to say it was the complicated lore or this "silver" timeline nonsense, but the truth is more straightforward. Halo is an FPS, and if we're all being honest, anything outside of that is boring. Halo, the series is essentially one long cut scene. I'd have given the show a pass had they delivered a single grunt. A Halo show without grunts? C'mon.

I still maintain it is a slightly better version of Manda - not really sure why people would like that one, but then dislike this one.

This show feels like a slot machine at times. Sometimes we win big with episode that gives us a awesome Human-Covenant war battle scene and other times we get that awful Kwan subplot that is terrible filler.
Today episode treated us to a possibility of Master Chief having a bastard love child.
What a shit show of a TV series that feels like someone adapted their own terrible fan fiction.
I'd be surprised if this gets a second season.

I'm just not getting it… The show is so radically different from the game lore that it feels like an almost entirely different property.
Halo has always been more about world-building than character development. Games depend on being immersive. Now that we're seeing a show that focuses on developing the characters in the Halo universe, I'm finding myself strangely confused and alienated. Creating great characters with depth and nuance is what a TV show should do, but in this case, somehow, it feels wrong and weird. I don't know… I'm not all that interested in the Chief's sex life.
The Halo universe of the TV show doesn't feel nearly as expansive as the game, and the characters, outside of Kwan, are shallow caricatures. I find it hard to follow the narrative and the overarching conflict because of the odd side quests.
The actress playing Kwan is putting in her best effort, but she's being written as a belligerent and somewhat entitled brat. She's unpleasant to listen to, like a whiney sibling who won't let go of some petty argument you forgot about centuries ago. "I gotta save my people… Ahk, Ahk, Ahk…!! I gotta save my people… Ahk, Ahk, Ahk…!!
It's one thing to have a purpose and a quest, but it's another thing to feel like the entire universe should be helping you fulfill it. Still, again, I do have to acknowledge how hard Yerin Ha is working.
The show has become a popular punching bag amongst YouTubers like Angry Joe. They're all picking on it because Paramount is so extreme with rights management. They don't believe in fair use in any context. They're killing organic opportunities for the fandom to rally around the show, making me hate the show a little more with each episode. They do the same thing with Star Trek.

I'm surprised that this wasn't brought up by many people, but the writers of this show been taking stuff from Mass Effect and putting it in this show.
Master Chief and the beacon is straight out of Mass Effect 1 with Commander Shepherd and the Eden Prime beacon.

As a paleo-science fiction fan with no consciousness of the video game, so far Halo is shaping up to pretty good. This narrative is new to me and to the majority of viewers. The game fans still have game itself and the live action series draws on the core game narrative for those not interested in the game.

It’s a good, existential sci-fi show. I like Soren’s wife’s comment to Kwan, “revenge and justice are often confused.” So is the state of our present, collective circumstance. Reading these comments from gamers, I feel like I’ve intruded on some sacred ground.
