Any chance we get this badass villain some time in the future?

Any chance we get this badass villain some time in the future? Nice to find someone else who appreciated Luke Goss's underrated villain, Nomak, from Blade II (2002).

Any chance we get this badass villain some time in the future? I'd love to see a villain like him again in a future MCU film.

This actually kind of has me worried about the possibility of losing Mahershala Ali as Blade.

Good director, but I never thought he was a good match for the character. This is an opportunity for Marvel to get a big-name director with a flair for action. We've had too many message-driven savants in the MCU and not enough craft-driven artists. If they mess this film up, the franchise probably won't recover. This is Blade.

Not a good sign.

I really hope Marvel doesn't fuck this up. They have a great actor to play blade and he's reportedly upset over the lack of a goo script.
Someone needs to kick Feige in the balls and get this shit straighten out.
Maybe it's time to dial back on the Disney+ shows?

If they mess this film up, the franchise probably won't recover. This is Blade. If I can put my Arch hat on for a moment... No single MCU film is 'bigger' than the franchise as a whole. It would recover just fine. the possibility of losing Mahershala Ali as Blade. That^ would be my biggest concern, since I think he's the perfect casting.

Screen Rant: There have been a lot of rumors that you might be taking over the Blade movie for Marvel Studios. How would you approach the character if given the chance to do Blade and are there elements of the storytelling that you would incorporate from The Inspection into Blade?
Elegance Bratton: Well, I think yes for sure. I’m very much interested in a contemplative and thoughtful camera approach when it comes to filming Black actors. I think a lot of times we observe and dissect difference in cinema rather than spend time. So, I think I would want to kind of spend that time to bring Blade into a more recognizably human place. Secondarily Blade’s story is very much my story. This is a young Black man, abandoned by his mom and I would really want to explore that. And I guess the last thing is Blade, as a Black man, if you go to a barber shop the conspiracy theories around Whiteness, Blackness, immortality all sorts of things are kind of swirling around. So, in that kind of Marvel-esque humor, I would want to bring some of that barber shop humor into it because I’ve been in conversations about Blade with 5 percenters and Black Israelites, and kind of all these…I think Blade kind of as a mythological character exists in a lot of different parts of the American consciousness that I would love to poke around in and provoke with. But ultimately, it’s an action movie. It’s fun. Vampires are sexy and fun and I want to make a really fun action film. And the fact that Mahershala is playing Blade, he's one of the best actors on God’s green Earth, and I like working with great actors.screenrant.com/blade-director-elegance-bratton-comments/

That's since been through a few different creative teams and faced several delays, and Jeff Sneider recently shared an update on John Rocha's The Hot Mic. Explaining that "things have gotten a little bit better" with Blade, he'd add: "the script is leaner and meaner and they cut out the fat." "But the script I heard about was like 87 pages, like there wasn't enough and they'd shaved it to the bone," he continued. "What they'd cut out I heard is that 'Blade' was gonna tie-in with 'Eternals' and Kit Harrington's Black Knight. Black Knight's not really involved in the 'Blade' thing anymore." "They may be recasting a few parts including maybe the daughter, was there like a 14-year-old girl? They may recast that." comicbookmovie.com/blade/blade-rewrites-may-have-reduced---or-scrapped---kit-haringtons-return-as-eternals-black-knight-a201144#gs.t6elig

I hope she gets to act using her real accent. She sounds like a British Mickey Mouse. It’s adorable.

Well, I sought out 'Mia Goth real accent' on YouTube, Merv She certainly has a unique voice (I also learned a few things about her like the fact that she saw Pulp Fiction when she was 4 years old ).

By this point, Ali will be as old as Wesley Snipes is right now when they actually begin filming.

Merv I was doing some pic searching (for a 'find a photo of' thread on another forum) and stumbled across a pic of Mia Goth in the 2020 movie version of Emma...which I have seen. Turns out I've watched a movie with her in it and didn't even realise. If she played the character I'm thinking she did, then she did a good job and elicited sympathy from me when watching. I'll have to refresh my memory by rewatching the film some time. Anyway, this isn't really relevant...but I just thought I'd mention it (since I'd previously thought I hadn't seen her in *anything* - just shows how bad memory memory is these days).

I’ve seen her in Everest and the Suspira remake but I don’t remember her in either. I do remember her, and love her, in X and Pearl tho.
