Why today? Is this Sinterklass, Santa's Dutch brother from another mother?

Why today? Is this Sinterklass, Santa's Dutch brother from another mother? Its always the third saturday in November except when the last day of October is a saturday as well. Then its a week earlier. Santa is a cheap American knock off. (And yes, I typed this with Ben Kingsley's Iron Man 3 voice)

Man, this dude shows up EARLY! Do the celebrations go through December? No until December 5th. December 6 is his official day. Its celebrated in the eve of that. It was different this time. They pre-recorded somewhere unknown to avoid crowds instead of doing it live.
