Obviously if this film doesn't open with a billion dollars at the box office it's a flop. RIP Thor Love and Thunder

A few weird details I noticed after watching the trailer a few times. Atlanteans only seem to have blue skin when they're on the surface. They have brown skin underwater. Perhaps they wanted to avoid having to film blue people in a blueish environment or avoid comparisons with Avatar. Also confirmed that Namor's ears are indeed pointed but it's hard to tell if that is the case for all of his people.

I think Nakia will be Black Panther for 2 key reasons
She doesn’t have a defined role. Shuri already does. I’m just asking myself what each of them would continue to do in the series if the other was Black Panther, and the answer is I know what Shuri would do if Nakia was the Panther, but Nakia would seem to have no place.
A 2nd factor is that Nakia already has fighting experience and was offered to become Black Panther when they thought they had lost T’Challa before. Meaning from the characters POV, Nakia is already established to be the preferred choice

The only thing that interests me is Namor. I still can’t really get on board with a BP movie without TChalla.

At the very least it looks like Ryan and Marvel had a plan in regards to how they're handling T'challa after Chadwick's unfortunate passing. Whether or not that plan will be successful or welcome by fans has yet to be seen. Although i'm sure not everyone going to be happy about it. I think we should at least give the film a fair shot, emotions aside. And hey if it doesn't work out, they could always revive T'challa and recast him. It's a comic book movie after all.Probably have a variant of T'Challa come into this world and stay for...reasons.

Death is usually meaningless in comic books, unless you're a parent, aunt, uncle, ect. of the hero/heroine. There's always a way to bring someone back from the dead. Hell i wouldn't be surprised if Tony Stark gets revived and leads the New Avengers or something.

So I think T’Challa is done. I really don’t believe they’ll do very many alt replacement characters for the simple reason that’s it’s not a replacement. It’s a different character. And if they’re going with a different character they might as well go with a main timeline character. The multiverse doesn’t offer a solution they don’t already have in that case.

What if instead of just one person as Black Panther, they go the multiple route? like a "We Are Black Panther" type of thing?

I'm disappointed that they eliminated T'Challa from this continuity. Still, at the same time, I respect Coogler's freedom to make a creative decision he thought might be more emotionally impactful.
Let's face it, a sophomore outing with a new actor playing T'Challa would have likely faired as well as an Antman and The Wasp or a Thor The Dark World as far as fan reception goes for part two of almost anything Marvel puts out.
It would have been divisive and likely forgettable, barring the inclusion of a "dance-off" or "what are those?!" style meme for people to chew on for years after the release. People would argue that Winter Soldier is still the only part two of merit in the MCU. All of the same complaints that get levied against a typical MCU outing would be exacerbated in this case by a sophomore slump and a new face in the role (LBH - it took us a while to get used to the "new" Rhodey).
There would be endless debate about which actor was better, and both answers would be wrong as one actor is deceased and thusly immune to criticism. And while sharpening his non-specific African accent, the second actor would dwell in the shadow of his saintly predecessor.
While you may disagree with Coogler's choice, I think it's important to understand why he did it. His chosen route allows him to create something more emotionally potent by leveraging, or if you prefer, exploiting our emotional connection to Chadwick Boseman. If you never had an emotional connection to the man's work, then Coogler's choice will never compute for you.
This was and is a no-win situation. Anyone who thinks that spinning up a new T'Challa would have resulted in anything other than another "assembly line" outing with recast-outrage tacked on it for good measure is not thinking out the decision to its inevitable conclusion.

Its certainly possible, although I’m wondering if Wakandan culture is such that the characters wouldn’t do this? IDK. I don’t think it’s been ruled out so yeah I suppose that card is in the deck.

They could also showcase different Black Panthers throughout history. Bashenga, the first Black Panther, would be an ideal candidate. There's a mountain named after him. Watching the Panthers operate in different historical contexts would be cool AF.

I don’t post spoilers without warning. I just figured the main character of the movie wasn’t really a spoiler. You’re gonna find out soon enough that she’s the new lead. It’s even confirmed in the LEGO sets.

I just wouldn't be surprised if Shuri makes multiple Vibranium suits and even recreates that herb.
They already established that she's a genius, so it wouldn't be hard to believe.
