You're going to have a blast watching Stargirl. I love those old JSA characters like Hour-Man, Dr. Mid-Nite, Wild Cat, Brain Wave, and Star Man. They have a certain charm and charisma that you don't get in modern-day heroes. A lot of them are pretty bad ass too. Totally agree, Grimy, s'ok I call ya Grimy? You know, Grim Reaper, but nicknamey.
Anywho, yes, love the JSA, collected the various incarnations of their comic book series and solo series. Since the show debuted, my collection of Stargirl comics has rocketed in price. But I won't sell 'em. I've don't have the most extensive collection of JSA comics but the trades and one-offs I've read really transported me to another time in super heroics. I would watch the heck out of a JSA movie if WB ever sees fit to make one. And you're totally right about the CW 'getting it.' It may not always be executed well, but they understand that there are fans who want to see that stuff regardless.

Hey trades and reprints work just as well. Only reason I could afford the comics is I'm that old.
And a movie, oh baby, if they did it right, with the right storyline and didn't hold back.
Yep, it may not always be well-executed on the CW, but it's done with well-meaning.

Star Trek: Deep Space 9.
Of all things, I've caught up with Justice League: Unlimited on TV. I'm watching Young Justice right now too. I'm actually really liking it. It's old by now but feels fresh, like the DC animated movies.
Naturally I'm waiting for Doctor Who to come back.
I was watching The 100 but it ended.
"A Year in Film". That's a good one, it profiles (as you guessed) specific hallmark years in film where a lot happened. Watched the 1986 episode yesterday, very cool.
Watched the Star Trek: Lower Decks series. I liked it.
Actually with just DS9 and Young Justice my TV plate feels full. I chronically rewatch my DVD's of Red Dwarf too.
We're in a 28 day lock down that ends in...a week, actually, but long enough to be cut off from my Disney + having friends, therefore I'm behind in Mandalorian.
The Dragon Prince is interesting, same people what done Avatar: The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra.
If and when it comes back, I'll pick up Disenchanted too.

DS9 is the best Star Trek ever... Is this a rewatch for you or your first watch.

I'm on season 4. The last one I watched had Kira and Dukat go on a mission and he found his half-Bajoran daughter. Worf showed up a few episodes ago. Oh man.
I'm loving it.

The 100 is interesting. Not too dark, but definitely darker as the show went. It started off with an interesting premise that became a lot more after the first 2 seasons. They did a good job at killing characters and bringing in new ones, just pulling brand new but important characters out of thin air. I liked it though. The 100 themselves are all the under 18 crowd. It starts with an arc in space that is home to humanity's last known survivors after the earth became unlivable. Because resources are so scarce, every crime is punishable by death unless you're under 18, in which case just prison. The 100 begins by sending these 100 teens to earth to see if it's inhabitable again. Then it just unfolds from there. It's good.
A Year in Film I found by accident. It's on a channel called Hollywood Suite. I live in Canada so it would come with my cable package, except I know I don't pay for it, so I think I caught it in the middle of a free preview.

BTW, I'm in Canada, too! I've never heard of Hollywood Suite, interesting. I'll see if I can find it, or if not, the show streaming somewhere.

Im watching The Crown. Just started Season 3. Really nice show. I've been meaning to look into that.
Queen's Gambit too, since you mentioned it earlier. I also like Anya Taylor-Joy. Reviews are virtually unanimously positive.

Both are excellent shows. With The Crown they switch the actors after season two. It makes sense since they go through the years faster than the actors aging. But it does take some getting used to. John Lithgow plays Winston Churchill. I am in awe of the man's performance on the show. Fantastic.

Nice! It's worth checking out. I don't know how long this free preview lasts so I'm in a crunch to watch them all. Thankfully there's only 4 episodes per season.
The 100's on Netflix. I think CW channel is its home but Netflix is where it's at.

Finished Season 1 of Stargirl on Blu-ray. STARGIRL is up next on my list of Arrow-verse shows to watch, along with BATWOMAN. Once viewed, I am eager to come back here and read your detailed review, thanks for that, but for now I will skip it (I like going into shows fresh, I've read nothing on this show or its first season). I am currently watching DC'S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW and am on the third season of this awesome, hilarious show. My favourite character is the Flash, so when his excellent show debuted, I thought no way they could top that, but LEGENDS really gives it a run for its money. One thing I really like is the stakes, main characters die, evolve, etc and each season has seen characters leave and new ones join. Really keeps it fresh. And, FFS, they saved STAR WARS. Yeah, it's definitely a good idea to hold off reading my review until after watching the season of the show my review is for, since it does include spoilers and I myself watched the show without really knowing anything about what was going to happen. That's the best way to watch. Unfortunately, oftentimes I have read spoilers before a show has been released here (either accidentally or because I've just been too impatient and wanted to find out what happens). I'm WAY behind with all the 'Arrowverse' shows, but it's good to finally find another person who enjoys LoT (it seems a lot of people on the forums I post on aren't that fond of it). I think it's got endless potential with the concept of time travel and I LOVE Sara Lance/Caity Lotz. I hope to get back to watching all those shows eventually, but I've just got so many unwatched shows on DVD/Blu-ray that I have yet to work my way through.

Yes, I was getting behind in the Arrowverse shows, too, so have been doing some binging.
Arrow - watched Seasons 5 to 7 and Season 8 up to the episode before Crisis.
Flash - also caught up to the episode before Crisis. LoT - On Season 3, almost done.
Supergirl - I'm getting ready to start season 5 when it shows up on streaming.
Batgirl - haven't started yet

Besides Mando, I've just finished watching the complete series for:
The Greatest American Hero
Eerie, Indiana
Parker Lewis Can't Lose (well, the first two of three seasons, S3 never made it to DVD, can't find it streaming, only two VHS-crappy eps on YouTube)
