Yeah I saw that yesterday
I think Marvel Studios has always anticipated that people might (temporarely) be less eager to see their movies after Endgame. That felt like a finale. The best they can do is still built on the storylines that were created and build a new arch from there. In the end the fans will come back.
They seem to be doing just that. Im really curious about Wandavision. That will kick of Phase 4. That will show them if Disney+ is a good idea (which I doubt) and how people will be willing to keep being invested.

This Covid delay may actually help them in a way. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, and all that.

Every pop-culture oriented YouTuber will eventually have to make this video so they can point to it years or even decades down the line when the MCU does inevitably fail. It will be something like 2025 when the MCU completely tanks, and Campea will point to this video from 2020, all wide-eyed and preening. "See, I told you back in 2020; Endgame hangover was a real thing!" I'm personally glad that the MCU fandom is going to thin out in the post Endgame landscape. I'm tired of talking to bandwagon fans that don't know anything about Comic Books, Marvel, or movies in general. There has got to be some YA franchise with vapidly good looking twenty-somethings they can follow instead. And what was he talking about regarding the last Wanda Vision trailer 'not generating any excitement?' 'WandaVision' Trailer Racks Up Massive Traffic In 24 Hours Post-Emmys

Thor will probs be the face of the MCU anyway. Great films coming up plus theres still both F4 and the X-men to be included Thats a bit snooty lol

I'm really sick of so-called fans who threaten to leave the fandom with dramatic announcements on twitter. "Endgame failed to jiggle my balls continuously for three hours, guys. It didn't have to be this way, I'm leaving the fandom." "Endgame failed to twist my nipples in that exact way that I am accustomed to, so guess what, I'm leaving the fandom." If you're gonna go, get on with it, and try to avoid peaking your head in later for the gratuitous and worthless bard. "Oh, yes, I gave up on the MCU a while back, but I went out to see that latest thing, and you know what? I was very disappointed." People who collect comic books, especially ones published by the big two, can tell you all about hanging in when things aren't going so well. If comic book collectors left the fandom every time there was a slowdown or a bit of controversy, there would be no comic book industry. If the MCU was just a "comic-book curious" phase you went through - good for you, but nobody needs to read your memoirs about your experiences on social media.

Im invested in the MCU and I will stay that way. That people will jump ship was to be expected. Wait until the new arch has been revealed and they will come running. Its hypocritical but its everybody's right to do that. I will laugh at them.

Even if people leave I'm sure the future films will draw in new audience.

The more the merrier imo. We need them. Most of the money doesnt come from hardcore fans re the films

I’ll say what I’ve been saying since 2012. If they nail the Infinity Saga, everything after that is pure gravy. No need to worry about wins and losses now, it’s just a nice crazy ride from here on out

Even if people leave I'm sure the future films will draw in new audience. Exactly. I feel like a lot of people don't think about this. At my showing of Endgame there were kids that weren't even born when the Avengers hit cinemas. New fans are literally being born everyday.
