The TV series Supernatural has had many characters who have outstayed their welcome during its 15 season run (not to mention the show itself has well and truly outstayed its welcome), but these are the ones who immediately spring to my mind when I think of characters who I kept hoping we'd seen the last of...yet they just kept being brought back over and over and over...
Crowley Bobby Rowena Lucifer
I could go on, but there have been too many to count.
Meanwhile, characters who I actually would've liked to see return remain gone/haven't been brought back.

I'd have to agree with Rowena. I like the others though, especially Crowley Lol at the never-ending seasons of Supernatural too

I'd have to agree with Rowena. I like the others though, especially Crowley Lol at the never-ending seasons of Supernatural too **spoilers for Supernatural (for anyone who hasn't watched it)** I liked the characters up to a point (well...except Rowena, who I never really liked). I was fine with Bobby in Season 1, but he started to annoy me somewhere between Seasons 2 and 3. After that, I just kept hoping for him to be offed. Of course, even after he was, it still wasn't enough to keep him from continuing to appear on the show. Same goes for Crowley. I liked him during Season 5, but felt he should've remained gone after he was seemingly killed off in Season 6. Lucifer was good in Season 5 as well, but after that it just felt like he was overused. I personally find that entertaining villains such as them lose impact every time they're brought back.

Jack Sparrow. In 2003 everyone loved him. Then he became pathetic.

Let me say this about Gemma...
Yes, there were times when it seemed that there was too much Gemma, but was the main protagonist of the series: everything that happened was because of her. Getting rid of her too early would have cause a premature denouement of the entire series resulting in too many loose ends or (worse) a few episodes that rushed to tie up said loose ends
And since her RL husband was the producer... well....
Personally, I think Tara got way more screen time than she was worth, despite being the "love interest." Her transformation over the series was well-written and well-acted, but I was ready for her to get whacked mid-season 5.
Wendy was also fairly useless. I can't stand to look at de Matteo in any role. Be honest, weren't we all a little happy when Adriana got whacked?
I would have loved more Venus Van Dam. The character was an exceptional addition and I think Goggins is one of the best actors in Hollywood. Boyd Crowder is still one of my favorite "villains" of all time.
And the Chucky character was awesome.

And the Chucky character was awesome. Well that makes sense lol. Kind of like the Resident Evil films Well to be fair, de Matteo doesnt really have good roles in either Sopranos or Sons of Anarchy Boyd Crowder is awesome. Goggins just chews up the scenery. LOL at him being a trans in SonsofA
