What’s great is the last line, and btw I still have no idea how anybody thinks this is a feminist propaganda film. Those films do exist but this ain’t one of them
And for real, honestly, if any of you do lean towards the “it’s a feminist propaganda film” side, I will not persecute you, I just really really really need somebody to tell me what they’re talking about when they say that. All I see is a fun Marvel origin movie that I’m going to watch again with a glass of juice and lightly salted popcorn and maybe some peanut butter m&ms when I get home. I expect several thoughts by then. Go

It's definately not "propaganda". Anyone who thinks that is nuts.
It does have a very strong feminism theme though. The oppression by Yon Rogg is a thinly veiled metaphor for the sexist male, keeping her submissive and telling her she has too much emotion.
Btw I have no issues with that theme. I like Captain Marvel.

I like Captain Marvel. I agree and I think in large part because really, that could happen to anybody. Those issues tend to be more relative to women and I get the context but it’s also not as though the same plot couldn’t have been about some kind of deceived male child subjected by a grieving mother who lost her son in childbirth or something. The point is, it’s a human story and not one specifically about women leading some overbearing revolt to cuckold society. It’s not even a female franchise taking over a traditional male series, Carol is her own character and they did her well here.

Moviebob: *shows a clip-show of scenes reflecting what the average, sane Left-leaning Democrat believes* "...Start?"

I'd imagine that it was called a "Feminist" film is because of Brie Larson.
