I'm still on the Epilogue so please don't spoil that, but I was curious about everybody's experience with Arthur's journey, side missions, and treasure hunts. What were your favorite missions and stories?

I really like Arthur Morgan. Rockstar has been killing it with their protagonists lately.
The game story was great and engaging and even the side quests stuff was interesting and really fleshed out the world.
If you haven't already played, I definitely recommend Red Dead Redemption 1. John Marston is a solid protagonist in that game as well.

I only played it at a friends place. It was pretty cool, kind of like Wild West GTA. I was in a criminal town and just wreaking havoc lol

I can almost see the 3rd game picking up with Johns son or something. IDK. The character arc in this are incredible. The best epilogue I’ve ever seen for anything. We needed to know where it really left John and how it dovetailed backed into the main plot was perfect. I was even mesmerized by the end credit little scenes. You’d get glimpses of where members of the gang were. Pearson glancing over at the photograph on the wall. WOW 2 big questions. Why did they chose that location for Arthur’s grave. And where did Dutch go? I assume he left because he couldn’t kill John and Sadie, but he just gave up the $ and was never heard from again?

I actually went back there looking for his grave and had to look up that they buried him in the north overlooking the mysterious hill home. I’m really wondering if there’s something special about that choice. That’s cool that Dutch is in 1 but I’m wondering what he did after 2. He just sort of wandered off and left every cent of the money. Curious choice for him to give up then.

Its the best game and story ever put on a computing system. If you haven't played the first red dead before red dead 2, you are seriously missing out on some awesome context!.

I literally just picked this game up again the other day to finish the epilogue and find the dinosaur bones. Weird coincidence!
Archie, I think we are cosmically connected somehow.

Man I skipped an entire generation of gaming. Never had a PS3 I think I’m just going to read about it. I know that’s lame but I don’t spend a lot of time on games. I’ve been playing this one since the start of the year and that’s in quarantine. Also I have Tomb Raider and Witcher 3 to get into which will take me another year so I’m just going to get the RD1 cliff notes and look forward to RD3

What you don’t know is I found a little room on the 7 1/2th floor of my office that lets me be inside you for awhile. My cat seems to enjoy it and I can’t seem to find my wife for days sometimes. Hummmm (please get the reference) Damn. Now I need to ride out for the rest of the bones. I found all the carvings. I don’t know anybody finds all this stuff without any help at all

It's kind of a chore but I'm a completionist so I gotta do it. damn. It’s Being John Malkovitch. If you’ve never seen it, seriously make it your next movie. Weird AF and fantastic because of it Hell yeah you need a guide. Some of these place take me 20 minutes to find with them guide. I have no idea how people stumble across this stuff. Especially the treasure maps because they don’t work unless you’ve found the three other maps in order, so even if you’ve walked over every inch of the entire game, you’d have to do it again after you found the first map. It’s not like the drawings help. Oh nooo the treasure is past a rickety wooden fence and through some trees. Geee way to narrow it down there Rockstar. I’m actually not a completionist. I used to be when games were smaller but now it would just depress me to find absolutely everything. It would feel empty. I like knowing I could always pick it up again and find more. Plus sometimes there are things I just don’t want to do. My most famous example were the mini games in Final Fantasy 10. Jump 100 lightening bolts? No thanks game. Lol

I just got to the free roam post prologue go shoot up thieves landing stage Save files were intact. Still very annoying. Multiplayer updates should be optional! I'm currently looking for missed animals. I played ALL last summer and I still have like 20 animals to study! This game is huge.

I want to see if I can take out entire towns and work up to murdering all of St Denis. I’ll have to hide out in the gunsmith I guess

The only time I lost honor is when I was doing the Bandit Challenges. I just don't enjoy the psychopath gameplay very much. I'm the type of player that stops at red lights in GTA.

John Marston is the best game protagonist of all time! You must play it, Archie. You must! You'll hate this a bit but it’s a good thing I promise I didn’t realize RD2 was completely a prequel, but what’s good about it is that my play through I didn’t know what would happen to characters like Dutch or Jack. I can’t imagine what that was like knowing what Jack becomes. I’ve watched some of the RD1 cutscenes now. F Dutch but it sure makes that falling off the cliff into the river scene in RD2 mean so much more now. And I had already ridden out to that cabin on Lake Don Julio. I was wondering who’s it was and now I know. Interesting that Javier was an antagonist. He was super nice throughout the game but he did start to side with a Dutch a bit in RD2. I was saying RD3 could be about Jack. Really too bad about Abigail. I liked her. Wonder what happened to Saddie.

Javier was a cool dude in RDR2. That surprised me because he was such a dick in the first. I fully expected Sadie and Charles to die in the epilogue and was pleasantly surprised when they didn’t. I’d love a spin off game with Sadie. Her voice is so fun to listen to, just like John. Jack is notoriously disliked. At the end of RDR he becomes playable. I never play as him. LOL. I just reloaded old saves to free roam as John.
