Both the Sony and Microsoft streams haven't exactly got me excited for either console.
The EA stream was a joke. Squadron was the only one with potential and after the official reveal it didn't exactly get me excited for it.
Ubisoft was basically the same old bullshit. Valhalla stuff was kinda cool but nothing special.
I'm glad that E3 didn't happen this year if this was the end result.

I agree. Nothing too exciting. Where's Elder Scrolls 6 and GTA?!
I'm also patiently waiting for Nintendo to announce something.

Yeah, after three consecutive generations, I'm officially dropping out of the console game. I'm strictly PCMR from here on out - no regrets.

I thought people were exaggerating when they said Halo Infinite had weak graphics. Holy shit, it look incredibly bad! RIP John-117.

In regards to Halo Infinity, apparently it was supposed to be released earlier but got pushed back due to criticisms of Halo 5.
Also the gameplay and cutscenes they showed yesterday was from an earlier build which is why it didn't look like nextgen level. Why they chose to use an old build and not something more recently I don't know. I swear Microsoft is being fucking stupid with this console launch.
Anyhow Alanah Pearce got to talk to 343 studios and Microsoft.

Why they chose to use an old build and not something more recently I don't know. I swear Microsoft is being fucking stupid with this console launch. Anyhow Alanah Pearce got to talk to 343 studios and Microsoft. I'm sure there's no end to the excuses Microsoft and 343 have for Infinite's comically low-fidelity, Atari-level graphics. "The dog ate my polygons." The game looks like what you see when you toggle from a remaster back to vintage mode. And it has nothing to do with being a "love letter" to Halo CE. If I wanted to feel like I was playing Halo CE, I'd play Halo CE. This fiasco is all about backward compatibility. Microsoft made a promise in the last-gen, and now they've painted themselves into a corner trying to keep it. And I'm tired of this open world, click-a-point-on-a-map garbage. Halo doesn't need to be in a massively open world. It wasn't called Halo Carefree Explorer - this isn't the Lewis and Clark expedition. All that focus on making the world more expansive should have gone into new, tight, and sick gameplay mechanics. "Get over here!" was all they could come up with --- for real? Halo CE was a blistering, teeth-rattling, frenetic shooter that kept you downing energy drinks well into the wee hours of the morning trying to find ways to evade the fiendishly intelligent AI. Why the fuck would I want to wander around in my Wart Hog for ten years doing side quests? Halo is not Destiny. The last halfway decent Halo game was Reach. If Halo Stans go out of their way to excuse this, they deserve whatever nonsense 343 and Microsoft plan to hand them. This game is a hard pass based on whiney-LatinX man alone.

Halo is still a thing? Never much liked it. The Metroid Prime series is far superior in every way.
