When the anthology films are better than the sequels..there's a problem..the long break between the last movie and now..so many announcements and nothing to show for it..they should just stop and release a trailer when they get up to that point and only then..think about all the announcements again ha

We've gotten some exceptional streaming shows out of the Disney+ machine, but outside of Andor - the franchise seems hopelessly repetitive and pointless. All people do is spend 90% of their time arguing about how woke it is. The franchise excels in visual and production design, but I have to turn to Andor for anything that isn't gimmick-driven or a retread of some other Star Wars story. The Mandalorian is fine too, but how long can we do that for? It may be time to let it go.

It all comes down to leadership with any huge property

It all comes down to leadership with any huge property I'm not talking solely about the franchise's ability to generate revenue. I'm asking if fans are deriving any enjoyment from the franchise at all today. Those who seem to like modern Star Wars are constantly criticized by those who don't. The franchise is at the center of a never-ending culture war, and Disney's creative choices are always heavily politicized. It's beginning to feel pointless.

A movie about the first Jedi was actually rumored even before Lucas sold the rights. I remember it was supposedly gonna be called Episode 0.
I’ve always been intrigued by the idea and it’s as interesting a way to move forward as anything else I can think of, especially if it includes the first Sith- which it no doubt will. However, Mangold’s Indy movie was a huge disappointment for me so it would be most unwise to invest anything in his Star Wars movie.

Obviously one never has to like everything. Im not on any Star Wars specific forums myself. Im just saying there's still public interest, thats all

There was a planned game remake too but not sure what the status of that is now

Im just saying there's still public interest, thats all Yeah, but most of the interest is negative to neutral. I'm amazed that the fandom's nitpicking Neds, grifting Garys, and negative Nellys still go out to see these movies. It doesn't help that they've left the most hated entertainment executive in franchise management history still in charge. I researched this origin-of-the-Jedi business and was unsurprised that it involves a "brother" and "sister" duo divided on either side of the force. I can't wait for 90% of the fandom to fall apart upon discovering which one of them is on the light side. It doesn't sound very interesting to me. Hopefully, Mangold can make something of it.
