Very sad. Working construction this kind of thing is an unfortunate potentiality. There are safety guidelines and standards but all it takes it one piece of faulty equipment, one momentary lapse of judgement, one string of unforeseen events to put someone ion serious danger.
Not nearly as important as a loss of life but this will definitely cause delays while OSHA and whomever else does their investigations.

I hope they do right by the family and fix the procedural issues that might have led to this. As a bonus, I hope this rallies the crew to make something worthwhile, seeing as how someone had to die for it.

I remember a story which is very hard to find now of a worker at an FX company who died in a car crash after falling asleep at the wheel--he was working on Titanic. It seemed to get memory-holed--I couldn't find a mention of it.
Wonder Man--yeah....one of the sixth tier characters. They are really scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Wonder Man will always be top tier to me. Somehow I don't believe you are sincere.

Wonder Man will always be top tier to me. Somehow I don't believe you are sincere. I'm always sincere when it comes to Simon Williams, a.k.a. The Wonder Man. He's been one of my favorite characters since the very beginning of my journey with Marvel characters. The character has one of the most unique and bizarre trajectories in the medium's history. The character of Simon Williams starts as a failed businessman in munitions who turns to white-collar crime when he finds he can't compete with Stark Industries. From there, he is imprisoned, subsequently freed by Heinrich Zemo, and subjected to experiments that transform him into a supervillain. Used as a pawn in a battle against the Avengers, he dies when he decides to defy Zemo and aid the Avengers instead. He's later resurrected as a mindless Zombie and set against the Avengers again, but he breaks free of his occult bonds and becomes a superhero. He later becomes a stuntman and actor between stints with the Avengers. Clearly, Marvel didn't know what they wanted this character to be or do, but Wonder Man became a viable character somewhere along the way. I would have firmly set his story in Marvel's horror corner if it were up to me. Simon Williams has knowledge of the grave. His time spent between the worlds of the living and the dead would have made him more interesting than a struggling actor who is bound to do nothing but chase comedy-infused villains in his series.

I only know him from his sunglasses and t-shirt phase in the 70s when he is in the Korvac story.
And you just confirm how the character was not conceived with any kind of coherent purpose and the name--Wonder Man--it's not a winner. Occasionally there may be some ingenious re-imagining of a character--the Terrible Tinkerer comes to mind--he was dull as dishwater but having him be a repair-man for super-villains is a clever revision.
I think you are right that the horror comics would have given him more opportunity. It is a crowded superhero room so it is hard to be a wonder man with so much competition.

Someone pitched this series as a satirical look at the world of acting filtered through the lens of the superhero genre. The problem is, we've already seen that approach with shows like Entourage. In the Comics, Wonder Man struggles with PTSD and tries to make sense of his life after-death experiences. Memories of the grave haunt him, and he lives in near-constant fear of reverting to a mindless revenant.
