Who would have been perfect for it but never actually recorded one? Any artist from 1961 until now…

I've played this game before: [*]David Bowie - With his dramatic vocal style and theatricality, Bowie would have been an excellent choice for a Bond theme. [*]Prince - Known for his eclectic and flamboyant style, Prince could have brought a unique flair to a Bond soundtrack. [*]Annie Lennox - With her powerful and emotive voice, Lennox could have lent a striking and memorable tone to a Bond theme. [*]Peter Gabriel - His distinctive voice and ability to create atmospheric music would have been a great fit for the Bond series. [*]Sade - Known for her smooth, sultry voice, Sade could have delivered an elegant and sophisticated Bond theme. [*]Elton John - Known for his dramatic and emotive piano playing, Elton John's style could have fit well with the grandeur of Bond films. [*]Björk - Her avant-garde style and unique voice could have added an interesting, unconventional twist to a Bond theme. [*]Stevie Wonder - As a prolific singer and songwriter with a soulful voice, Stevie Wonder could have brought a distinct sound to a Bond film. [*]Kate Bush - Known for her ethereal voice and experimental music, Bush could have created a hauntingly beautiful Bond theme. [*]Amy Winehouse - With her deep, soulful voice and retro style, Winehouse could have contributed a classic yet modern feel to a Bond theme.

That would’ve been cool. I could see them doing a killer Live and Let Die.

She’s the perfect fit for a Mandala Effect. I bet there’s people out there who would believe she did one if you told them she did.

A theme from Winehouse could have brought back the era of the truly powerful female presence on a Bond theme.

I never knew that.

Wow… I didn't realize she got that far into the process. I appreciate what Keys and White tried to do with "Another Way To Die," but I think Winehouse might have delivered something more timeless. Bond themes are starting to sound very much tied to a particular style and period.

appreciate the solicitation but honestly the list is probably near endless. And I say that given we’ve had artists from Bassey, to Duran Duran, to Chris Cornell, to Adele. There isn’t much of a limitation in terms of style so yeah, you could pretty much make a case for any good band

Oh, you new member whom I don’t know, I’d like to answer your question despite having no clue who you are, but I don’t know singers well enough (I mean, besides obscure musical-theater singers from the ’30s). And I’d be fine with Sheena Easton doing every Bond song (I recently rewatched For Your Eyes Only and still think the credit sequence, with the androgynously beautiful Easton having fun with a not-so-great song, is the best part). I like Lord Death Man ’s choices, though… Seriously, Kate Bush is a good pick. Less seriously, now I wanna see a Ken Russell-directed music video of a Bond song written by the Who. So there you go. There’s my two cents.
