I love the dudes who are 'struggling with their fandom' over this. And by "love," I mean that hope-they-get-their-junk-caught-in-a-meat-grinder kind of love.
This isn't new…

I never liked the man and always felt he ruined wrestling. He is scum.
I have not listened to Corney's podcast in awhile so I am not up on the latest news.

Half the time they're killing themselves laughing at the fact the article they're reading is from the Wall Street Journal.

He needs to be locked up Wrestling is a wild, wild world. The behind the scenes shit is nuts. Vince McMahon has always has a following and a mystique of being a necessary evil, or someone who was loved by few, hated by many but respected by all. I think that's the struggling with their fandom people LDM is talking about. This is I think is the nail in the coffin of that mystique. Vince McMahon's nuts.

I'm not surprised by the allegations. Vince is an evil man.
I'm sure a lot of people will be celebrating the day he finally croaks.

I reckon a big ratio of the happy-to-see-him-gone crowd are his employees.

People will probably turn his death into national holiday giving how much he's hated.

Somewhere off to the side the force-ghosts of Owen Hart and Luna Vachon and a few others might show up and nod approvingly. Nailz from Summerslam 92.

You can only do what he did - for all those years - with the support of an industry that is willing to enable this behavior or, at the very least, look the other way while it's happening. Speaking strictly for myself, I couldn't patronize a commercial endeavor with this level of rot at its core. I listened to many wrestling fans struggling to make sense of the allegations on various social media platforms. While the majority were willing to stop short of blaming the victim, many implied that if you removed and punished McMahon and compensated the victim, wrestling would somehow regain its sterling reputation. I don't agree with that.

I don't agree with that. I also think it's a culture. As some might say, it's a "structure, not an event". Some of McMahon's worst offerings I've seen seemed forged in the fire of small circles on conspirators and him pulling the strings. This has open secret all over it. McMahon's been one of the worst for a long time, but he didn't create himself.
I don't agree with what you don't agree with either. Think that's the right grammar. McMahon might be the biggest part of the pimple but there's still a lot left in there. It's not going to feel clean or ages. I always had a deep scuzzbag feeling about John Laurinitus too.
