You can check out this article from slate.com to get a preview of some of the more compelling shots from Mad Men. If you had to pick, which would you say is the better "character study"- Saul or MadMen? Are the character arcs on MM as compelling and entertaining as they are on BCS? Growing up in various parts of the US's northeast region, I prefer Mad Men over Better Call Saul in general. Mad Men has places, events, and situations that are "recognizable" to me. I'm more of a Marvel fan than a DC fan for the same reasons. Seeing Spider-Man web swing his way down New York's 5th Ave. has always made more sense to me than wondering where Coast City or Keystone city is on a map. I try not to get caught up in rankings and spending endless hours trying to determine if one thing is slightly better than another. There are things that I like, love, and hate, and that is all there is to it for me. Better Call Saul provides a unique look into the mind of a sociopath. It focuses on an individual who is perpetually behind the eight-ball. It also shows us some of the minutia and inner workings of mid-level organized crime. This is ground that has been covered elsewhere on TV and the movies frequently. Mad Men presents a scenario and settings that aren't explored as often on TV. Cutthroat politics in an office environment isn't exactly new, but it isn't as common as crime and legal dramas. It's Mad Men's novel settings of the 1960s within a Madison Avenue advertising agency that sets it apart from other shows. The character's struggles, successes, failures, and regrets are expertly juxtaposed against living history.

Is it better? They just recently released the final episode of season 10, which wasn't too bad. As for Fear the Walking Dead I'm currently watching it on Hulu. So far it's been alright.

I combined the two MAD MEN threads. Consequently, I had to edit my posts and alter some of what I said so it didn't appear like I was saying the same thing twice in this one thread.
