So does it take place before the events that created the kelvin timeline? So does that mean it's still in the original timeline?

So does it take place before the events that created the kelvin timeline? So does that mean it's still in the original timeline? Paramount will NEVER get this right. A prequel set decades before the Kelvin timeline is a prime Star Trek universe film. It's that simple and doesn't need to involve the Kelvin timeline films at all - unless they're intentionally creating yet another new timeline - likely called the moronic timeline.

Paramount really lost it after Voyager. Some things were still good but most of it... meh.
However kelvin timeline film 1 and 3 are actually good.
