With some conditions: “You wouldn’t want to take on a film without being fully committed to what you bring to the table creatively. So as a writer, casting, everything — it’s a full package,” he said. “You’d have to be really needed and wanted in terms of bringing the totality of what you bring to a character. Otherwise, I’m very happy to be first in line to see whatever they do.” deadline.com/2023/07/christopher-nolan-james-bond-movie-oppenheimer-1235442893/

It's his birthright as an Englishman to direct a James Bond film. I don't know that it's a film I'd necessarily want to see though… His comments are likely just a small display of national pride. I doubt he really wants to take on 007.

Nolan is terrible at staging action and he would likely want Cillian Murphy who is almost as non-masculine as Trudeau.

I say let the man take a shot at it. Can't be worse than Quantum of Solace.

I don't like what he did with Batman and I expect he would do the same with Bond.

Hmm did you like the Joker then in the sequel? No. If you didn't like what Nolan did with Batman and the Joker, then you must've really hated what Matt Reeves did with them...as he dialed that shit up to ELEVEN. Even for me, who actually enjoyed Nolan's TDK Trilogy, what Reeves did in The Batman was too much.
