My vote would be Marvel's The Avengers. Not because Im a Marvel fan but it changed the way Hollywood looks at franchise movie making

That's a good candidate. I would also throw in The Force Awakens because it seemed to really kick off the whole "nostalgia fueled blockbuster" trend that has now led to a sequel for Top Gun becoming the top grossing movie of this year.

BvS was important...in providing a cautionary tale of what NOT to do when building a shared cinematic universe.

The Avengers - gave birth to a new class of blockbuster.

The Avengers is probably the best one I could think of just because of what it accomplished from a world building perspective. Not just the superhero genre. It wasn’t new to bring separate components together for a film but to do it as well and with as much forethought and patience was really groundbreaking imo.
Movies I wish were more important…Mad Max Fury Road. I really wish this spawned a desire for more post apocalyptic car chase movies that used minimal sfx.

I was thinking of another Avengers type film: Movie 43
Showed that Hollywood may not be able to do old-fashioned cinema but they could sink to new depths of failure and public embarrassment.
Not easy to achieve, and with an A - list cast I assume that either got a big payday or were blackmailed into it.
