Safe to say that James Gunn survived cancel culture!

This is the smartest thing anyone at WB has done in the last ten years.
James is going to give Kevin a real run for his money.

Safe to say that James Gunn survived cancel culture! Indeed… Grace Randolph is pouring herself a mega pint of bleach right about now. Her second L of the week.

Yeah, but will he really get the chance before he gets shitcanned the instant something doesn't work out the way they want, like all the other head guys before him? If they did that, they'd be the dumbest executives ever to walk the planet. James Gunn has had access to Kevin Feige's playbook for nearly a decade. His multi-billion dollar playbook. If they decide they want to second guess his plays or keep him on as a figurehead, WB would deserve everything they have coming to them --- which would be a swift and decisive end to the DC brand. It will spend a decade or more getting pimped and prostituted by every actor who ever ate a chicken cutlet and went to the gym more than three times a week. No disrespect to the Rock, but let's be honest, Black Adam was a vanity project (which happened to turn out okay). I felt this energy right after The Suicide Squad. They loved working with him. This was inevitable. Seriously, if they hired Gunn to smile and look pretty for the fandom camera, DC would be on course for a 90s-era Marvel-style bankruptcy sell-off. Gunn is a weapon; they have to use him. It's now or never. Their biggest worry is keeping him happy enough not to quit.

After some of Zaslav's other decisions, I am perfectly willing to think of him as the dumbest executive ever to walk the planet.

It's 10 to midnight on DC's dooms day clock. They need to pull it together.

This is exactly what they should have done from the get go. I said so in our DC podcast

We're now closer to a possible crossover between Marvel and DC on the big screen!
Henry Cavill Superman vs Chris Hemsworth Thor!

I'd be fine with that as well. I think seeing both of these universes coming together on the big screen would be amazing Cinematic event. It would be the next Avengers Endgame type of film. No idea on what story they could do or even what villain that could bring both universe’s together.
