Never saw any of the other movies. The first two are pretty good. The series leans into a lot of body horror which isn't really my favorite aspect of horror films, but the story is fairly interesting in those first 2 films. After that the series gets a little redundant and eventually a lot worse.

I watched this late last night. It was good I thought. I didn't find it as enjoyable as the first Hellraiser, and probably the second Hellraiser either...but I did think it had a pretty coherent storyline and plot with likeable enough characters. Chatterer deserved better.

Honestly I liked it. Hellraiser is a franchise that has had multiple terrible sequels as well as the really bad remake Hellraiser: Revelations.
Biggest issue i had with this film is the very slow first act. Also the director hyped this film up saying things like "we didn't hold anything back making this" which felt like a lie considering some of the deaths felt tamed.
I want to give a shot out to Jamie Clayton who, in my opinion, did a servable pinhead. Obviously Doug Bradley Pinhead is still the superior one but Jamie version worked for this new take on the property.
I actually hope we get a sequel. If they listen to the feedback we could get a better film with the next one.
