I do a lot of business with Lowe's. I usually get good service. But I ordered two ladders from Lowe's in Covington, La. back in August for my father. One came in two weeks later. They other they said was on back order.
Yesterday, I called Lowe's, they said my ladder hasn't come in yet. I asked them if they had any information. They said no, but they could give me the vendor's phone number. And the PO number.
- I called the vendor (Werner Ladders) gave them the PO number. They said they shipped it from El Paso, Texas on 8/3/22. It was delivered to the Lowe's distribution center in Purvis, Mississippi.
- I called Lowe's back, told them what I had learned, they said they didn’t know anything. Not even the phone number of their own distribution center.
- I Googled Lowe's distribution center, Purvis. Got the phone number. Called them, talked to the manager, the "team leader" and the inventory specialist. The inventory specialist told me it arrived in Purvis on 9/9/22. And it was shipped out and delivered to the Covington Lowe's last Friday. She said she would call the Covington Lowe's and call me back.
- 4 hours later she called me and told me they found my ladder. It's ready for pickup.
- 2 hours later I got a text from Lowe's saying my ladder was ready for pickup.
Long story short, unless there are any further complications, I should be able to pick it up this weekend and bring it to my father's house.
My records show I placed the order on 8/17.
But Werner Ladders say it left El Paso on 8/3 ??
Things aren't adding up.
