X-Men 2, hands down. That scene with Bobby and his parents will always resonated with me on a personal level.

Very close. These are the two best X Men movies and both are top ten Marvel movies.
Tie!

I agree that these are the two best XMen films. My vote goes to X2.

I’ll go ahead and pull my shoot. The series never got better than the first 2 Xmen films.

I liked Days of Future Past, but god damn the scenes with the Sentinels looked like a video game cutscene.

It's interesting seeing the difference in opinion regarding these two films on this forum versus on IMDB 2.1 (where I also posted this poll). Over there, the votes are overwhelmingly in favour of DofP, whereas here it's X2.

I liked Days of Future Past, but god damn the scenes with the Sentinels looked like a video game cutscene. Yeah, the future sentinels didn’t look great. But the old school 70s ones in the climax looked pretty good. Innit?

This actually reminded me of that thread on IMDbv2 where summers8 went off on me for saying the cgi sentinels looked bad. I miss summers. He was fun to fight with.

FYI - I actually watched X2 last night again because of this thread. Still awesome!

Never cared for Days of X-men Retcon. I barely give it a pass. Take out the kitchen scene and you have barely anything left.
X2 is in my top 10 CBM's of all time. Easy victory for X2 in my book.

X2, such an easy choice but that probably comes at no surprise haha. Stryker was a brilliant villain. The fight between Logan and Lady Deathstrike, so so good. Nightcrawler near the beginning. It all just came together really well. This is the X-men movie!

I was going to say, after just rewatching it X2 still holds up as a genuinely great CBM. They could release it today, virtually unchanged and it would fit right in with todays high standard.

It all just came together really well. This is the X-men movie! totally agreed and I’ll add, everything at the dam is incredible. They have at least 3 sets of motivations all juggled excellently, 4 with wolverine’s personal mission paid off on top of it, and every time I watch this I am impressed by the use of powers. And I mean that it always makes sense which character is chosen or steps up to do what. Also one of my favorites lines “one thing I recognize is my own work, seal the room, shoot it”. This mystique was such a badass.
