Kevin Feige says we’ll hear more about Marvel’s next big saga "in the coming months" linkExclusive: Kevin Feige talks to Total Film about the MCU's next chapter Marvel fans love thinking ahead – and Marvel Studios love encouraging them with breadcrumbs. For the moment, however, Marvel Phase 4 isn’t quite leading to a big endgame in the same way Phase 1-3’s Infinity Saga was punctuated by Thanos’ pursuit of the Infinity Stones. But Kevin Feige has a plan. He always does. As part of the new Total Film cover feature on Thor: Love and Thunder, the Marvel Studios president has teased that some answers are coming sooner rather than later. "As we’re nearing the end of Phase 4, I think people will start to see where this next saga is going," confides Feige in the new issue, which hits shelves on June 23. "I think there have been many clues already, that are at least apparent to me, of where this whole saga is going. But we’ll be a little more direct about that in the coming months, to set a plan, so audiences who want to see the bigger picture can see a tiny, tiny, tiny bit more of the roadmap."

I wish they weren't trying to keep it a secret. It might not show in the box office but if word of mouth means anything the lack of a clear goal seems to be grating a lot of peoples interests.
We knew they were gearing toward the Avengers with Iron Man and we knew they were gearing toward Thanos once we got the Avengers. I think for a lot of people having an inkling of the destination helps.

This is phase 1 after all of the new saga Thats why I mentioned that we knew they were gearing toward Avengers with the first MCU post credit scene. They dangled the Avengers carrot from the very first film and added on to it each time they teased crossing over (Stark at the end of Hulk, Thors hammer in Iron Man 2, etc). I just think the lack of a carrot is allowing people to kind of check out. Again this is strictly word of mouth, my own personal experience. I think some of the MCU audience got used to the build up and in this phase 4 its not quite clear what theyre building up to. If it's simply different diverse paths thats absolutely fine...but obviously that will see numbers dwindle as it will be clear people who don't care for certain aspects of the mcu (Cosmic, Mystic, etc) won't be tuning in. I still think you'll see the big dogs bring most of them around like you saw with No Way Home. But the less prominent titles will probably suffer a bit. To be fair I've not broken down to see if that's been the case the whole time. So maybe the particularness has always been there. I'm just kind of spitballing here.

I understand what youre saying but im not concerned in the slightest. General audience members are just looking for a good time. Doc 2 made just under a billion dollars

Doc 2 made just under a billion dollars I'm definitely not pulling a Henny Penny on the MCU and saying the sky is falling...but would a clear goal hurt anyones experience? Is it being a secret improving the MCU product? I'd say no.
