Well, seems like the Young Avengers is pretty much confirmed now. How do you guys feel about a kid avengers team? If TheNolan ever hears about this, the kiddy arguments will explode

I'm not going to watch the video because I don't care what that woman has to say, but I'm all for a Young Avengers movie or series.

I have to say it. I'm not.
I realize that hipster Avengers has many fans, and I can even admit that there are some halfway decent stories featuring the team, but this whole Young Avengers thing feels like the first genuinely shoe-horned aspect of the MCU.
Two twins will be born on a TV show, and a couple of years later, they're going to be full-grown superheroes battling bad guys in Avengers five? I doubt that you can even explain their power sets without using some somewhat sloppy story mechanics.
It seems to me that everyone is in a rush to get to Young Avengers because they want to see a superhero film that features a gay wedding. The characters themselves in no way, shape, or form will have earned the Avengers moniker by A5. I hope Feige is smart enough not to kowtow to fandom pressure on this one.
It's true that I was initially against Thunderbolts as well and later came around, but this is entirely different. It's not going to work.

I am. I wasn’t until how I knew they’d grow them organically from the current plot but I love how this is shaping up now. And I love promoting new characters. Marvel has been more than 2 or 3 characters for a long time, but I’m imaginging if they get most films their roster over. I’m excited for the potential

Survey question - have you actually ever read a Young Avengers comic book?

Didn't they try that in 1998, with Ralph Fiennes and Uma Thurman?
If I recall, it didn't turn out too well.

I am. We'll finally get a live-action Teen Titans-ish movie or series done right, and once again, Marvel has to show WB how to do it.

I don't know much about them, but I'm not a fan of the idea. They've got enough great characters right now to fill another 2-3 "adult" Avengers movies.

I think they’re background characters for quite awhile. Look how long they took before Wanda and Sam have gone A list

When you have to qualify a team by putting the word "Young" in front of their already borrowed name, you're off to a bad start. The only team that ever even partially got away with such heavy-handed marketing is the New Teen Titans - and even they eventually dropped the teen part of the moniker. Young Avengers sounds like the Little Golden Book that you give children to enjoy a more simplified version of the adult characters. I hate it.

There’s rumors that a movie with Kamala Khan as the lead. That's what they hint at at the end of the Marvels. I'm for it...assuming Kamala is the heartfelt lead rather than the leader of the team. I don't think she's quite at team leader status at the moment.

This may very well be the project that loses me as a fan. If it’s a stand alone movie or show— no harm. But the idea of these characters becoming central to the narrative is a real warning to me that my days as a hardcore MCU fan may soon be over.

But the characters just don’t interest me. I also generally don’t like YA stuff (YA here meaning Young Adult (Fiction)), or legacy characters for that matter. Quality is only part of the consideration. It’s kinda like Deadpool, for lack of a better example. The movies certainly do the character justice but since I’m not a fan of the character they do nothing for me. On that note, if Deadpool becomes a huge part of the narrative I will likely check out due to that as well. But I’ll try to keep an open mind.
