I had a couple small skin cancer spots removed yesterday. I’m doing good and the staff was cool and professional, but still, not a super fun procedure. Was barely the size of a pencil eraser at most but I’ll have about a 3/4 inch scar under my eye, which hopefully won’t be all that bad. Take care of yourself, use sunscreen, etc.

Glad it sounds like your getting them before they could turn into bigger problems. You should see if they can give you a 3/4" scar above the eye too that way itd look like someone tried to stab your eye out. Could be the ice breaker to a good story.

You did the right thing; early detection and treatment are critical. An old colleague who lived in South Africa for a while came home with melanoma. She didn't trust the health care system there and decided to postpone treatment until she got back to the states. By then, it was too late. She had to have multiple surgeries that resulted in the loss of adjacent (healthy) lymph nodes.
It could have been worse; glad to hear you're up and around.

Hey thanks guys, and yeah everything is just fine. No melanoma which is the good news as it’s the truly serious watch out version of this, though on the other hand these 2 bring my total to 3 instances, meaning I’m clearly susceptible. Buuuuuuut I’m wearing sleeves and hats and sunscreening and I’ll be at the Dr day 1 if anything pops up again, and I’ve got check up appointments scheduled which means it really has no right to ever get to be a literal deadly serious issue. Got to say though, having a scalpel flashing around your eye and an electric gun complete with life like searing smell keeping you from bleeding all over the place is quite the horror experience. Definitely take care of yourselves. :-)

This is because of all that time you’ve spent in the desert being a bagman for the cartel. Seriously though, you’ll be fine. Just make sure you set annual visits to a dermatologist for screenings.

It’s good you got it removed, but not about the scar. But can you say you got it while dueling.
