My guess is ambiguous. I think we'll think he's dead...but then the final shot will feature his echoey breathing or he'll pull another vanishing act. I don't think they'd have the balls to write future sequels into a corner by killing off Meyers. Especially knowing how poorly it was received with Resurrection.

Obviously this won't be the "final" Halloween movie. It may be Jamie Lee Curtis last appearance as Laurie Strode but i have no doubt they will reboot this again with a new cast.
I liked Halloween (2018) and Halloween Kills, so I'm hoping Halloween Ends will deliver a decent conclusion to the Laurie and Michael story.
That being said, i wouldn't be surprised if this ends up being another controversial and decisive film in the Halloween fandom.

I hate how the “extended version” of Halloween Kills turned the original ending into sequel bait for this.
The theatrical ending was surprisingly good the way it was.
No high expectations for this one, but I’m definitely going to watch the shit out of it.

Saw it last night and there's a lot to take in.
There's a a lot of things I liked and a lot of things I didn't like. That being said the film does live up to it's title. It ended the Laurie and Michael Saga. Whether or not that ending is satisfying, that can only be left for the viewer to decide for themselves. But I have to give them props for actually going through with resolving the 40+ year battle between the two legendary characters.
Honestly it did leave me bummed knowing that this is almost certainly Jamie Lee Curtis last appearence as Laurie Strode.
I feel sorry for the next actress they get to play Laurie Strode in the inevitable remake/reboot of Halloween, because she's got a hell of a shoe to fill.
There's no post credit scene.

Well they had the balls…but not the brains. A mixed bag where my favorite parts were original to this film. So as an ending to a trilogy and the supposed final chapter of Laurie/Michael…I thought it stunk.
