I had a little hope it would have been Nebula to kill Thanos. A little poetic justice. But how they did it was so much better.

Heck no. It had to be one of the main heroes.

No. It was a clever twist in the comics, but the comics had a completely different setup than the films. They had to go a different route in the films.

Do you agree? Endgame: Nebula Should Have Wielded the Infinity Gauntlet link**somewhat spoilery below if you haven't seen Avengers: Endame*** I would've been fine with Nebula wielding the Infinity Gauntlet (but then, I'm a fan of her character and the farthest thing from a fan of Tony). Having said that, if whoever wielded the Gauntlet was going to pay the price for doing so by dying...then I'm glad it wasn't Nebula who used it. My main question, though, is how is a future version of Nebula still around once she offed her past self?

My main question, though, is how is a future version of Nebula still around once she offed her past self? I think it's because it's a different timeline. @weirdraptor youll probs have an answer for this? It's Quantum Physics based time travel. Ergo, each place they traveled to is a new splinter dimension and timeline that they create by even going there. That's why their own personal pasts don't get altered whenever they time traveled. They were literally creating new dimensions and branching paths just by going to them. Whatever is happening in those other dimensions is now divergent from what would have happened otherwise while the Core Timeline is left unaffected. Like new branches growing off a central limb. The Nebula of the "past" is ergo a different Nebula while also still being Nebula because she is from a different dimension. Past!Thanos has no idea what a favor he did for the dimension he traveled from to come to the main timeline just to get killed by Tony. Whatever happens from 2014-onwards in that new Thanos-less universe has to be pretty sweet.

Yes, definitely. Simply wielding it and being successful in killing Thanos are two different things. I get that the fans would have wanted an Avenger to seal the deal, but there would have been no harm in having her come close to wearing it, or wearing it and realizing that she lacked the will needed to harness its power. It was a missed opportunity to show that Nebula, and not Gamora is Thanos' most cunning protégé.

Absolutely no. She is portrayed as a underneath B level "hero" in the MCU so doesnt deserve to get the big finish.

Do you agree? Endgame: Nebula Should Have Wielded the Infinity Gauntlet linkI can’t get into the idea that they “should have” done anything that they didn’t do because the film is just too damn good to start that. So no But it’s kind of fun to imagine if they’d done something like that. If you asked me how that would have played out, I might have had her wear it when she gets it from Hawkeye, turn to her original form and then have modern Nebula kill her. Basically we wouldn’t skip a beat
