Any you guys pick it up? Despite not being a fan of Bloodborne or overly difficult games I did pick it up. I’ve played a few hours and there’s lots I enjoy. If there’s one thing I don’t tho it is the steep difficulty, but I expected that coming in. I’m hoping the fun of exploration and combat outweigh the frustration of every encounter starting with my death.

7-10 hours later and I’m hooked. There’s a bit of a slog in the beginning before you can really get rolling, where it seems like every foe is out of your league…but once you gain the bell to summon spirits and gain the spirit horse Torrent (which you should get by like the 4th ‘grace Fire’…the world opens right up for you.
The feeling of exploration is fantastic here. Unlike some other open world games, the nooks and crannies of this world have substance. Even if it’s just a nice view or parkour ledge to climb. The multiplayer summoning is fun and definitely helped me with the first cave boss I tried to fight. The random pvp raid is dumb but after the first time I just started running away. I’m still figuring out much of the controls and I’m sure there’s a way to turn the raids off. But I’m at least 7 hours it only happened twice and it was the same guy, so it’s barely an issue.
Once I was able to get acclimated to the game…the conbat, the controls, equipment and that sort of thing…I’ve found it really engrossing. I stopped while I write this to eat some dinner and I’m already eager to go back in.
