I love following the story of this plane and the search efforts for it, along with the attempts to determine why this disappearance happened. For a long time it has seemed hopeless but new estimates have given rise to renewed search efforts and possibly real answers at last. www.airlineratings.com/news/mh370-probable-location-found-revolutionary-tracking/If you are not familiar with this story, watch this. It’s quite fascinating

Im familiar with it. My wife is from Malaysia. Oh that’s right. Very curious. I’m actually reading more about it right now. The video here dismisses the idea that the pilot had any marital trouble but several other outlets back the idea that he did. I’m trying to determine what’s most credible as the video I listed states that the official report concluded that wasn’t the case.

Wow.
It was everywhere at the time. I was doing a restaurant open in Montreal, as I was a corporate trainer for a franchise restaurant at the time, and you couldn't go anywhere in the hotel without seeing it on a public space TV. Even at the restaurant in the lobby. It was a fascinating and frightening story. At the time, I wondered (half-jokingly) if there was some other Bermuda Triangle-esque spot on earth (or several) that consumed this plane. This story did a lot with my imagination, which is also unfortunate because plenty of people died. So not good.
I haven't thought about this in years. I used to doubt the wreckage could ever be found. You'd have a greater chance of finding one of the monsters from Pacific Rim down there than the wreckage from this plane.
So interesting, but so so sad.

So maximura and I were just discussing this extensively. He is strongly proposing that there was Chinese government involvement here and the pilot was paid to sabotage specifically the microchips in cars the world is now in shortage of in order to manufacture them themselves. The evidence according to him being a significant number of people responsible for competitive production were on board. I have not verified that but I’ll take his word. I don’t put it past an organization to do something like this. However, my response was that the Occam’s Razor version of this is simply that an upset pilot sunk his own plane in the most remote area he could. But I leave it to you? What are your thoughts?

Yeah I read a long article from the Atlantic about this. I think it's the same one. Turns out the pilot was just depressed and sunk the plane. I think AQUA SALZ! referred it to me on Knowhere if I remember correctly

But that’s where Max comes in, because he thinks that’s just the most acceptable story for the public. And that it makes more sense the guy was paid by someone to crash the plane, and there’s no possible way that we don’t have satellite and other data on exactly where it is. That’s too far into conspiracy territory for me, but he is convinced and actually makes a reasonable case for it.

Once I got back from my trip I started casually watching this YouTuber that discusses plane disasters, miracles, vanishing, etc.
He mentions one I hadn’t heard about that only happened a few years ago…2018 I think…where a plane carrying 6 people, 3 crew 3 passengers, loses almost all control. When the Captain tries to turn left it banks hard to the right, goes right it takes a nosedive, so on and so forth. They mention they were even inverted at several points. The force on the plane was massive but somehow they stayed airborne. The crew spent over an hour trying to figure it out while simultaneously trying to get above water figuring they’re probably a lost cause and didn’t want to cause loss of life on the ground by crashing into buildings. After almost two hours they finally had the controls figured out enough to attempt a landing…it took multiple tries to get it lined up on the runway and even then they had to settle for one left of their target but they managed to land and the only injury was a sprained ankle someone got during the roller coaster of their flight. The entire plane had to be scrapped due to the g force it received. The problem had something to do with faulty wiring, I don’t remember exactly.
I just looked it up it was Air Astana 1388.
