So here I sit…end of day 2 at the Bahamas…got Wi-Fi at the condo so I can send out a message…I’ve had at least a dozen Sands beers (taste like Corona) and several Fireball whiskeys (grooms choice) and I want to tell ArArArchStanton that I ate at the French Leave restaurant this evening and had a dark and stormy (delicious) and some shrimp and sausage pasta (delicious). And that it was a solid recommendation. The French Leave has a much nicer pool than our Buttonwood condos however the condo has a very secluded beach that I do enjoy. Anyhow just checking in before I brown out for the evening. Everyone should get to experience Bahamas weather and winds. It is so rejuvenating. Big fan big fan! Much loves

I had to look up Dark and Stormy. Im sure that tastes great too. I had a slightly different version; instead of ginger ale, it was coke.
Never been to the Bahamas but any tropical place is the shit! Myself been to Thailand. I went with a few of my friends and the vibe was amazing. Island tours (one of them even took charge of the ferry for a couple minutes). Snorkeling. Fiery shows on the beach. Pool party. Half Moon Party. Friendly locals and tourists. Bit of muay thai/kickboxing in the reggae bar where I got my arse kicked by my buddy-threw up in shame afterwards lol. Even tried a jet ski but was hella nervous about it-shouldve enjoyed it more. The sand was white. Blue skies and warm, clear water. I'll never forget it

That is so awesome!!! First I’m just happy for you that you’re down there and having a great time, but it’s exciting as hell that my recommendation paid off at least a little and you enjoyed the outing. That view over Governors Harbor on the Caribbean side is pretty amazing, and if I recall it’s a small infinity pool just outside the restaurant. Great stuff though! Glad to hear you’re soaking it all in and I hope you have fun with all the wedding festivities!

Beautiful. It’s really another world. The feeling of how isolated it is

This is the atlantic beach up close. More of an actual beach with sand, about a half mile from the condo. Totally private. Only other people i saw there were the people in our condos.

This is the Carribean side? Someone told me to call it that so that's what i refer to it as. But its the west coast of Eleuthera. More rocks than sand but calmer waters and more shallow so lots of colors to please the eye. This shot is from our back deck.

Carribean side at the Glass Window Bridge. First one is a pic we took second one is from a website to give an elevated shot. West side is calm blue water, east side is steep cliffs and the atlantic crashing. It was awesome.

It looks like your back porch was on the ocean and you could see across to the Caribbean from the front porch? I was curious if that first pick was a sun rise or set, but I think it’s a rise over the Atlantic?

Ive added some text to the pics to help describe them but yea we had a front and back deck and you could see the water both directions. The Caribbean side was closer and is the sunset photo like 4th down. The first one is indeed sunrise over part of the atlantic.

Heres an aerial shot of the condos for reference. I was in the top right of the left building.

Also for reference it was about a 1 minute walk to the Caribbean side and about a 15 minute walk to the Atlantic side. We had golf carts but I often walked to the Atlantic while listening to the Lost World by Michael Crichton and it was pretty fitting. Kept waiting for a raptor to peek out of the brush.

Just realized the stock aerial photo of the condos doesn't feature 'The Club House' which was in between the two sets of condos and was our gathering quarters most evenings with large tables and a bigger deck.
You can see the club house in some photos above.

Thats amazing. Tells you how thin it is. Sounds like you really soaked it in. Right! It was pretty wild to look one way and see ocean and to turn around and see more ocean. And we were on some of the thicker parts of Eleuthera. We also swam with turtles, stingray and fed pigs. Did kind of an all day excursion to see the sights. But my friend hasnt uploaded those photos yet. The turtles and stingrays were by far one of the coolest parts for me. They know the routine so they immediately started swimming up to and around us when we entered the waters near their beach. The pigs on another beach were a little too reckless. We also saw the Queens Bath, its called. Basically the waves have created indents in the rock and when the tide goes out it leaves the water in the pools and it heats up like a hot tub. It's very pretty to look at but we went at high tide so the waves were kind of crashing around us. Which i found entertaining but caused some panic attacks amongs some of the women folk. Lolz. All in all it was a ton of fun. It also felt long. Like, sometimes vacations feel like they fly by but this one felt like it stretched out. The only negatives i can think of is the showers at our condo weren't great. The hot water was almost never available and the water pump tripped the breaker several times and when that happened we lost all water. Not sure how it was all built but it was kind of annoying. Also the price of things is like 3 times what i'd call normal. It makes sense because its an island and I don't blame them but it's still a little daunting to pay 65 dollars for a case of local Bahamanian beer.

There's nothing like being around this stuff in real life. It takes it to a whole new level. You’re like in awe of places like this and animals like this being real. I’m excited for you!!!
