Rumor going around is that She-Hulk may set this up as well.

I didn’t expect to have a Hulk solo film ever again, but I’ll take it. Too bad they couldn’t have made a new deal with Universal back in Phase Two.

The story is a good one but I feel like the MCU Hulk has evolved past it at this point. Prior to Ragnarok it would've made sense....even prior to Endgame, but given how much control Banner has showed over his Hulk side in Endgame it would be a bit of a stretch to see him regress. In my opinion anyway. Unless they figure out some other way to pit him against his former allies, which is possible but then we're straying farther away from adapting the original story.

This is still one of my most rembered badass moments reading a comic...Hulk beginning his rampage against the Illuminati, starting with Black Bolt (who can destroy mountains with his voice), watching Black Bolt utter a whisper that sends Hulk flying and covers most of the area in dust and debris, and then Hulk jumps out of the dust saying 'I didn't come for a whisper, I want to hear you scream!' I would've shat my pants as Black Bolt at that second. Another one of my favorite moments was with Darwin, a member of the XMen who's mutant ability is his body automatically adapts to survive....ie: If he's drowing he will grow gills, if he falls off a building his body becomes springs, etc.....he doesn't really control it, it's just a natural reaction. When he and his team confront the Hulk he's immediately teleported across the country. His body decided the best way to survive the Hulk at this moment was to be as far away as possible. LOL

In retrospect, a good tag line for TIH would’ve been: “Don’t worry. The MCU will get better after this!”

Im for it. Way back when they were first starting and didn’t want to share $$$ with Universal to get a Hulk movie done, I understood. Not 100% if they can get around doing that in this case but either way, put some of that Endgame cash to use and get Hulk front and center again. Tagging Banner at the end of Shang Chi tells me they have something big left for him to do, I agree, and I want to see him Hulk out again so bad

"...The appearance of a Sakaarian ship in the She-Hulk clip has led many to speculate that Marvel is starting to sew the seeds of a World War Hulk event in the MCU."

It'd be interesting to see how they do it now. It would be a very different story from the comics. I could see it working though. My first thought is that Banner sidelining the real Hulk will have Hulk growing angrier and angrier inside Banners psyche. They could show seeds of Banners Professor Hulk breaking throughout the She Hulk show even. Getting randomly angry at times and losing control again. Not sure where he'd get an army at this point tho.
But the real writers will probably take things in a different direction anyhow.

I'd watch it. Hulk was always one of my faves pre-MCU.
It would fit in with some theories I've heard. Normally I hate fan-theories, but I kinda like the idea that Hulk refused to come out back on earth out of protest. I always figured Thanos beat him so bad Hulk couldn't show his face again, but after that beating, we only see Hulk on Earth I think.
I've always felt Thanos beat Hulk so strategically that his body was overwhelmed and he couldn't take it. Like filling a hole in the dirt with water so fast it overflowed before it could get absorbed. That's Hulk and Thanos' fight. Quick and dirty, strategic, and so overwhelming that Hulk couldn't absorb it fast enough.
I think it'd be cool if angry green Hulk were still in there somewhere. He'd be great as a gladiator all over again, and he probably stayed in Hulk form so long to protect Bruce. I kinda like the idea of a Bloodsport-esque movie with the Hulks.
I also think that sector of the universe is full of science-fiction-pulp material.

I read somewhere that the 15 year deal with Universal for the distribution rights of Hulk characters is running out next year. So solo hulk movies are possible again within the MCU.

I have a heard a fascinating idea that WWH could take place on Sakaar and see the Hulk basically play out all of the elements of that storyline that we didn’t see in Ragnarok. So perhaps the Red King has taken over, perhaps the old strength and planet natives are at his disposal, perhaps Skaar has been cloned of Hulk as a replacement for their lost champion, perhaps his blood restores the planet, etc etc. basically this planet hulk may be a more proper and/or conclusion to the planet hulk storyline than anything else. And I like that idea a lot.
