People who dont like Raimi can do that too. Whatever. As long as people respect the fact they have different opinions Im good.
I still have concerns. Its no secret Im not a big fan of the Spider-man movies. But Im sure he will do a fine job. His heart is in the right place.

I’m interested in this being a fan of the first Doctor Strange and that it’s being made from one of my favourite directors. This should be a match made in Heaven, no?

I was a fan of the first Doctor Strange too. I think its one of the best superhero origin movies ever made. Thats why I was bummed out that Derrickson was replaced. By Raimi no less. I like his filmography. But Im not a real fan of his Spider-man movies. But no doubt he is more than competent and has a love for the property. So we'll be alright.

I was very happy to hear that Elizabeth Olsen would be appearing in this movie as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, as I'm a big fan of both the actress and the character she plays.
All I ask is for ONE scene where Wanda and Strange compare their fancy hand gestures that they make when doing magic!

Does this film need a villain? Maybe it could just be about the problem of the multiverse coming apart? Perhaps some alternate low-key villains but no main villain?

I'm interested. I love multiverses and parallel worlds and shit like that where reality hangs by a thread. I hope they go deep and colorful. I could always use another crackup courtesy of Wong. "You wanted more??".

"You wanted more??". Do you have anything in mind or just in general? Honestly, nothing in particular. I'm willing to let them take the reigns. It'd be cool to see what other characters like Dormammu are out there. Maybe one of them could might be (huge shock) allied with Modo now. Dun dun.
Have you ever seen The Legend of Korra? I could see Modo being similar to the villain from the first season of Legend of Korra, becoming somewhat of a terrorist radical whose mission it is to go around find people with magic and take it from them to make the world more fair, in his own ideologically fanatical way.
It would be a continuation of his character from the post credit scene where he took that man's magic that helped him walk. So on the one hand, he's taking it away from people he thinks shouldn't have it, and there's a valid moral point behind that, but he's also using magic to do it, which would make him a hypocrite and a dangerous one. Especially if his equality crusade starts attracting followers.
Yeah, I could see something like that.

Two years away...
If Corona doesn't kill me, the wait will! I simply cannot go two more years without a healthy dose of RAIMI goodness.

This will hopefully be the first movie I see in theaters this year. I'd love to see Tenet, but it's just too soon. Covid numbers are still too high for me to want to take the risk.

FUN FACT: There are two Dr Strange Easter eggs in Spiderman 2! Peter's pizza job is at a place on Bleeker Street. And JJJ's assistant suggests calling Doc Ock by the name of Dr Strange!
It's like RAIMI knew! ...Maybe he is a god!

Here's a development I didn't see coming.
So these people want a director they love, who is in his twilight years, to walk away from what might be his last chance at a comeback? Okay, then...
