The first one yes. How is this even a question?

First one just feels more epic and serious than the Tom Holland films

i actually like the second one better, love the action and the return to the Raimi style suit ( which I'm pretty sure Sony ordered him to do )

I think TASM 1 is just as good as the Raimi or Disney ones. The second one.... jikes

Yes, I like both of the Andrew Garfield films a lot more than either the Tobey Maguire films or the Tom Holland one that I've seen (I haven't watched the second one yet). I actually preferred the Spider-Man suit from the first The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) to the one he had in the sequel. I also thought Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy made a better 'love interest' than either of the 'MJ's. And there are plenty more reasons why I like the TASM films the best that I won't get into. Thanks for this thread, Darth Sakaar.

I think both of them are great and get way too much hate. Garfield captured Spider-Man's snarky side better than the other two actors and the way they portrayed Spider-Man's speed while in combat was awesome. I also liked how they added an element of mystery about Peter's parents.
I definitely like them better than the MCU Spider-Man films. I'm really bummed we will never get to see a third movie and wish they would have folded the series into the MCU.

The first one was definitely better than the Holland ones. The second one...eh. I mean Garfield nailed pretty much every scene that he was in during the second one. That's about as much praise I can give it.
If Garfield had a better script I think he would've been better than Tom or Tobey. He was the most versatile and talented actor of the three.

I think Holland is a great actor too. Unfortunately, he has to act like a nervous kid

Garfield was a perfect Spidey and Peter Parker. But the movies weren't that great. The first one was too identical in origin to Spider-Man 1.
The 2nd was a mess with goofball electro. A shame cos Garfield deserved better. Still hope Sony can recast him when Hollands deal expires.

I feel like he was the opposite of Tobey who was the perfect Peter Parker but not a fun Spider-Man. Whereas Garfield was the perfect Spider-Man but kind of “too cool” for being Peter Parker.

I didn’t mind them. Jamie Foxx was given a truly awful character to portray but Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone made the two films fun.

Yeah I thought Tobey was superior as Peter and Andrew was superior as Spider-Man.

I like the first Amazing Spider-Man a lot and prefer them over the Holland films. On the other hand, I am lukewarm on TASM 2, which is the weakest of all the films IMO.

They're the least good of the 3 live action franchises in just about every way.

I like the first one more than the Raimi ones. And i liked only certain parts of the second. The chemistry between Grafield and Stone is miles above the one between Maguire and Dunst
