I have no idea what you are talking about here.
Disney (to state the obvious) doesn't like people. Especially strong successful ones. This didn't start with Kennedy. In Pirates of the Caribbean 4, they have a young white male guy who would be the Errol Flynn hero in an older film of that kind and he is introduced tied to a ship mast--then when he is freed, he wounds a mermaid--and eventually he gets mortally wounded and after freeing the mermaid (who was imprisoned because of his mistakes) is dragged underwater to an unknown fate. Disney isn't hiding this attitude. There are so many examples of this. The first Pirates film-which is well-made despite the thematic attitude--the woman is supposed to marry a young successful military officer and at the end he loses her and doesn't capture the pirate either. It is more subtle but there it is again.
The Fighting Prince of Donegal-a 1966 Disney--is very different from that approach. It's about a young heir to a throne who through a series of experiences and adventures succeeds in securing the kingdom and taking his destined place. But in a modern Disney film--they always subvert that so is the son of the pirate is the one who is the savior and the winner, if that is even allowed.
Granted, I do think there is a pile on mentality with Disney. I.e. blaming it for the Star Wars films when they were following the story summary from Lucas. He would have done the Rey thing too.

No thanks. Not interested in yet another modern "original main character is a sad sack old person who wants to die and is a total loser now" movies.

Another problem with the title is I get this image of "the dial of destiny" and Indiana Jones at a pay phone saying
"here I go... making this important call with a rotary phone.."

I'll attest to that. I was part of a test screening once. Terrible film, imo. Alien Invasion movie with Tom Green. By the time the movie came out, nothing I would have had to say about the movie would still be true. It would be dated after changes made. Totally unreliable.
Even the title of the movie changed by the time I encountered it again. What the heck was it?

I think before it was changed it was "Welcome to Laxdale" or something like that. It's been too long though. I never saw the tweaked version, only the test-screening rough draft. Kind of a cool experience. I vaguely remember filling out forms for it.

Good movie. I really don't know why so many critics found fault with it. Yeah I liked it too.

" [ The outfit ] was presented to me as an aspect of character in the first film. My questions about it were many. 'Why am I wearing a leather jacket in the jungle? Isn’t it hot here? Why am I carrying a whip? What am I going to do with a fucking whip? I’m going to whip people? '"
- Harrison Ford, 1981
