Avengers Endgame to me. I know that movies has serious issues but the 'Oh Fuck Yeah' moments are too many and too great.

Civil War individually. I have lots of good memories with that movie.
Infinity War and Endgame as a pair.

OK, here goes… Some changes since I last did this, and subject to even more changes at a later date because I haven’t seen, say, IM2 since it was in theaters:
Iron Man Captain America: The First Avenger Captain America: The Winter Soldier Avengers: Infinity War Spider-Man: Homecoming Avengers: Endgame Iron Man 3 Iron Man 2 Captain America: Civil War Thor: The Dark World Thor: Ragnarok The Avengers Thor Black Panther Spider-Man: Far From Home
I haven’t seen the others.

Iron Man.
Watched it again recently on TV, still an excellent flick. I’m still convinced, by the way, that in part it’s ribbing on Batman Begins.

I think Favreau talked about Begins being a massive inspiration for Iron Man during behind the scenes interviews. Really? Interesting, didn’t know that. Thanks! One of the things I love about it is how you expect Tony to come back as completely changed from his experience—and he’s a little more thoughtful but still super self-absorbed. That’s a subtle twist, but it’s true to the character and a good take-that at the so-serious Batman Begins. (I love BB, but it can be a bit po-faced.) I liked when DC and Marvel movies used to play off each other like this. Alas.

Captain America: The First Avenger (2011). Interesting choice. I prefer the sequels over it but I still enjoy this one. Yeah, it seems to be that out of all the Cap films, this one isn't a lot of people's favourites (or maybe it is and it just seems like it isn't? I don't know). Whenever I see people's lists of favourite MCU films, I can't say I've seen this one included very often. However, for me it is not only my favourite MCU 'origin' film, but it's also simply the one MCU film I've enjoyed the most (another possibly 'unpopular' opinion: my second favourite MCU film is the original Thor). I just really love everything about Captain America: The First Avenger as a film (except maybe the ending, and that's mainly because it was purely set-up for The Avengers. Like with Thor, it felt to me as though the ending existed to serve another film rather than being its 'own' thing - but that's just a minor quibble). For me, CA: TFA is what an origin movie should be like. I've mentioned this elsewhere, but it feels like it has a lot in common with The Rocketeer (which I only just rewatched for the first time in a long time). It's no coincidence that both films have the same director, as I noticed quite a few things they have in common. I figure that for some people, CA: TFA probably seems like it takes a while to 'get going', but for me I enjoy the set-up/build-up to Steve Rogers becoming Captain America. I really liked the character development for him. I'm never 'bored' during the film. It keeps me interested the whole way through. It must also be noted that this film introduced Hayley Atwell as Agent Peggy Carter - for which I'll forever be grateful, as she's my favourite female character in the Marvel universe. I've from watched this movie the most out of all of the MCU films and I don't think one has matched it for me since.

At this point, I think it would either be the first GotG or IW.

I think it is the best of the MCU origin films.

Without it, I probably wouldn't be the MCU nut hugger I am today.

Without it, I probably wouldn't be the MCU nut hugger I am today. Yeah, so was I once the movie ended. Thankfully, they realised just how much Hayley Atwell had done with the role and kept bringing her back in some for or another, plus she earned herself her very own series. I doubt I'd be as into the MCU without CA: TFA and Hayley Atwell/Peggy Carter. Yeah, it seems to be that out of all the Cap films, this one isn't a lot of people's favourites (or maybe it is and it just seems like it isn't? I don't know). I kept feeling like the odd one out, as I too liked Captain America: Civil War (2016) a bit more than Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) - though I still prefer CA: TFA to both. I think it's a testament to Hayley Atwell that her character has endured as long as she has. It would've been easy for Peggy to just be another 'love interest' character who didn't really have much going on with her other than being there to support the hero, but Peggy was so much more than that. I really liked Black Widow too (this may be another unpopular opinion, but I hated her hair in CA: TWS. I much preferred how it was in The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron films).
