I agree. Although, I am curious why people don’t extend this outlook to the character of Loki, whose arc was also completed, but is being brought back nonetheless. Well I did extend it to Loki. I agree his arc was done and I didnt need his series at all. I actually spoke about these thoughts on the Podcast. ArArArchStanton had the same thoughts. But... That trailer for his show.... Damn it, they sold it. They pulled me back. agreed. Loki is what we didn’t know we wanted. If I had to guess though I think he’d just make a handful of Old Man Steve appearances. Maybe a flashback sequence or something from Sam or Bucky’s perspective.

I always knew I wanted to see the character again. It felt like he spent more time in the MCU as an anti-hero and a hero than as a villain. Hopefully this series will turn that around.

Do you think he spends most of the time here as a villain??? I think the Loki that carries the show won't be a villain, but the supporting Lokis will. As a comic book reader, we're very used to a villainous and conniving Loki, and I think the MCU would do well to return to form in this series, even if only for a few episodes. It's only in the last decade that he's been lauded as an anti-hero. That shift has been mostly influenced by the MCU ironically. I'm not buying the idea that his arc ended and that he should be retired permanently. That's antithetical to the nature of comic book literature. When your arc ends in a comic book, you get a new one, unless, of course, you're Uncle Ben.

Having used this entire anti hero run to accomplish something we never saw coming.
