I voted for Patriot Games. It is one of my favorite Tom Clancy books. And the movie was an excellent portrayal.

The Hunt... because it has so many good youthful memories attached to it for me. I can remember exactly where I was and what I was doing the day I saw the film for the first time. Plus - Sean Connery. It's a shame that John McTiernan turned out to be such a shady dude. He was an awesome director in his prime. That said his latest pitch seems kind of bananas. Uma Thurman, John McTiernan team up on Cannes sales title 'Tau Ceti 4' (exclusive)

Patriot Games (1992) vs. The Hunt for Red October (1990)?! I just watched Red October again last week. I absolutely love it. Damn near perfect film. Lots of moving parts (pun intended) and the political diversions, action, and watching Jack think his way through this works in every way possible. It’s fantastic! All time fave for me.
