I guess it depends on what you know or have seen re the respective shows. So without further ado, here are our four nominees:
*Krypton-a prequel set 200 years before Superman (No Superman at all). His grandfather is the main character
*Gotham-again another prequel (there is Bruce Wayne coming of age but you dont see the cowl until the finale). Jim Gordon is the main character and you follow his story as he rises to Commissioner of the GCPD
*Smallville-prequel about Clarke Kent, he becomes Superman in the finale
*Agents of Shield-has no one of prominence-spun-off, for lack of a better term, from The Avengers movie through an unexpectedly popular character/agent. About that agent and his organisation. Set in the same current MCU timeline

I'd say Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. because most people seemed to dismiss it during its first season (I myself didn't think it was that bad), and then it seemed to be the general consensus that it 'improved' after the tie-in with Captain America: The Winter Soldier. From Season 2 to Season 5 I thought it just kept getting better. It managed to tie-in comic stuff and movie stuff in ways that complimented the show rather than the show relying on them like it seemed to do in Season 1. When you look at where it ended up and where it began, it came quite a ways. It managed to create quite a few complex characters, had some really great episodes and explored so many different genres and ideas. For a show that started off with not many people having much faith in it, I thought it proved the naysayers wrong by the end (even if there were those stubborn ones who refused to acknowledge it improving).
Smallville, though, would probably be my 'favourite' out of the four shows listed.

It's impressive what Shield managed to achieve after the rocky start, the heights it reached. Never imagined the show would get so good, season after season pretty much improving Whoever the showrunner was, I would hire him to do any kind of show. Just so versatile

Knowing what SHIELD did and being the Marvel Shaman I’d tend to go with SHIELD, because they really really made the most of that series. Never expected it to be as great as it was. I was tearing up during the finale. BUT, I could be convinced that Krypton is actually more ambitious. I don’t know much about it tbh.

Unfortunately it only lasted 2 seasons. They did Doomsday justice, I mean real justice. Highly recommend it. You wont believe it's actually dc lol

I never could get behind Pennyworth or Gotham as a premise - although I admit certain episodes of both were fairly entertaining.

Krypton is definitely better than Gotham but I still enjoyed the latter very much Metropolis would be on the list too if I remember correctly, if only they went ahead with it

Especially when you know that they were only created because WB theatrical has a chokehold Batman. Luckily the creators of those shows were able to devise something reasonable entertaining despite the limitations. The trend continues with the upcoming Gotham City PD. You have to be more than just a casual fan to enjoy those shows.

Would you include the Peacemaker show in the list too?

Would you include the Peacemaker show in the list too? Yes. Peacemaker is interesting because it got greenlit sight unseen. Meaning a bunch of executives saw The Suicide Squad and believe the character warrants his own series. They could be right, but they've gotten no fan reaction or input on this decision. The majority of Disney+ Marvel series are supported by majority fan consensus that characters like War Machine, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Falcon, and the Winter Soldier deserve solo shows.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is the best superhero tv show to date. Too bad it isnt officially MCU canon.
However... Wandavision looks like its gonna blow everyone away.

Thats bold but it's easily possible. They wouldnt start with this particular show without a good reason. Especially when you have a fan favourite like Loki as an option
