This can also extend to villains I suppose.
Just want Spidey to be an adult. Would have been so cool to see him as a true equal among the Avengers. He leads the Avengers at times
Bruce Banner. Maybe it's just me but in the comics he struck me as a bit more serious and more confident.
Malekith, Zemo, Mandarin and Strucker all suck gigantic balls

Im not a comic book reader. I guess in this case its an advantage. Because I dont know any more than what I get. And what I get is perfectly fine to me.

Maybe we will get a first glimpse in a few weeks when the Shang Chi teaser drops.

Malekith, Zemo, Mandarin and Strucker all suck gigantic balls You know me, I love absolutely all of them. :-) I really do, even if they’re significantly different. Strucker wasnt around long but I did like the guy and his look. Zemo is actually one of my favorite, both the performance and his calm measured mission. Can’t wait to see him again in F&TWS. Depends on what you mean about the Mandarin. I did like all the videos and I’ve always felt st the time they couldn't do the Mandarin Justice anyway because they just weren’t ready for that level of magic and lore. So while on one hand, yeah obviously I’d like the real Mandarin (go Shang Chi), I was actually released by the twist that he wasn’t because people were talking about tech rings at the time. I do like Trevor. Bruce I’ve enjoyed, from his lonely man days to working with Tony on Ultron and his confused hadn’t been himself in years during Ragnarok time. His more to the point self in Avengers is great followed by his awkward trying to be social self in Ultron, and overall you see this guy slowly become more and more comfortable with being himself on the team. Spidey yes I’m looking forward to him becoming an adult. It’s the one thing nobody’s done in love action and the moment Marvel got him I realized they had they chance to spend two decades letting this character grow up. It’ll be awesome to see Tom still in the MCU at 40 Love Whiplash’s layered character of brute meets brains, and the tactics he uses without giving away his intent. Smaller villains like Batroc, and Crossbones have been spot on. Looking forward to The Leaper coming in. And I’m still not sure what it is so many don’t like about Malekith. I find him enjoyably menacing, and his single minded “must kill everything” and stop at nothing to do it barbarian warlord at the gates of Rome approach is so epically brutal. I really dig it. And some of the best villain stuff of course are Vulture, Thanos, Loki, and Alexander Pierce. Sitwell is a fun recurring side baddy. Ego and Hela are super fun, and I especially Love Ego’s appearance as The Gardener, an Elder of The Universe which seems to tie him to The Collector and Grandmaster who are also Elders. Makes me wonder if they too are former Celestials. Hummmmmmm

Malekith, Zemo, Mandarin and Strucker all suck gigantic balls Spider-Man leading a team of superheroes feels wrong to me most of the time. When he's in charge, he's not free to troll villains the way he usually would. Guys like Cap are there to call the plays. Bruce Banner has had many different characterizations over the decades, but he's mainly known for being a repressed and reserved individual. Indeed, he doesn't crack jokes all the time, but "serious" feels like a mischaracterization, and "confident" feels off to me as well. Your description of him is a better fit for Mr. Fantastic. Malekith, Zemo, and especially the Mandarin were all excellent to me. If you don't have a sense of humor as a fan, I feel like that's your problem and not necessarily a problem of the MCU. Strucker is more of a henchman to me - so I never consider him when evaluating MCU villains.

Maleketh definitely sucks gigantic balls. In fact, I think a lot of the villains are lackluster, but I won’t go down that rabbit hole. As for the heroes, I like most of them quite a bit. I take some issues with the characterization of Spider-Man and the way he follows the morals of Stark rather than Uncle Ben, in conjunction with his life just being way too care free and lighthearted which runs contrary to classic Spidey comics. And I think Wasp Woman is too much of a “badass female” cliche devoid of any real personality. Drax had excellent characterization in the first movie, but has since become a bit too much of joke. The rest of the heroes are all pretty ace in my book though.
