WOW that finale was orgasmic! BADASS! Stick around for post-credits too That one episode was better than all three of the last Star Wars sequel films. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Combined.

To me it felt kinda meh. Felt like two kids playing with Star Wars actions figures.
And now the rancor is on the loose.... pew pew.
This show was a hot mess. The trailer sold me a Godfather like story. What I got was a lot of bathing and people firing blasters.

AMAZING FINALE!!!
Boba riding a rancor to battle. Boba and Mando side by side in a blaze of glory, Boba VS Cad Bane, The mayors assistant being made to read a threatening ultimatum, The Rancor VS Mechs was the best fight in all of Star Wars, the rancor gets loose, Fennec kills the brain trust, and Baby Yoda’s big contribution being a peaceful one of putting the rancor to sleep is a thoughtful touch. This episode was huge, wall to wall character and action, well choreographed and paced, and I was enthralled every second.

I couldn't have had more fun if I'd flown commercially to Tatooine. I literally forgot all about the world around me as I watched the finale. It had beautifully crafted action, exceptional visual effects, boldly drawn, mythic characters, and classic western storytelling. I was completely satisfied by the ending (which is rare for me). Loved the Rancor. And I loved Fett stepping out of the shadow of a past that's boxed him in for far too long - in-universe and with the fans. If you don't like the new Boba Fett, go put the six minutes of his screen time you do like on a loop and be done with it. I personally hope that the new Fett is here to stay. No wonder Disney beat the street and is riding high on 130 million subs. They're producing top-tier television. All but Raised by Wolves and a few other niche sci-fi shows have to kneel to this level of skill. Once again, I fail to understand the sour grapes in this series - time to draw the line. I'm unashamed to say I'm a fan of the new Star Wars - for those who prefer the vintage stuff, no disrespect, but that's all you. I'm invested in these characters and their stories.

We need to get into a bigger discussion about that. I’ll highlight the rancor mech fight as top tier for me. It felt real. It felt like they were solving how this Brutish troll would handle as shielded Gatling laser gun Ginsu murder bot. Where were those knife legs going to come into play? How would the rancor tackle the shield? What were the strength limits of both. What happens when a rancor gets hurt. It all felt like an actual bar fight but with these two awesome combatants of completely different skill sets. It wove in an out of what the other heroes around the action were doing. Brilliantly done.

Brilliantly done. Even if it wasn't one of the most lovingly crafted monster fights we've seen in the genre in a while, it would have still been a massive payoff for teasing the rancor throughout the show. They calibrated baby Yoda's powers so damn well. Grogu is not Luke-level crushing Dark Troopers with a thought, but he could still contribute meaningfully to the fight. I liked the shield droids more in this episode than when I first saw their variants in the prequels. The animation has gotten so much better. These new iterations had weight and presence the old versions didn't. Felt menacing… And Mando with the Dark Saber is RocknRolla-level badassery.

Did not like it at all. Grogu comes to save the day again. He's everywhere. What are the writers thinking ? Fennic Shand kills the Pykes leader ? Really ? Boba took a back seat a lot in this finale of his own show.

Agreed! Who would have thought a big shootout in a town could have been so boring. It was bad choreography, I dont care to ever see Boba Fett ever again sadly. And as someone else pointed out , the first two seasons of Mando feel pointless now other than Baby Yoda knows some force abilities. Its like Ep 9 all over again where they back track thinking they know what we want just to make a worse mess. What an underwhelming show.

Boba took a back seat a lot in this finale of his own show. Im not sure we watched the same show. Boba led the charge with Mando and then dominated with the Rancor. Ordering an assassin to kill the heads of the factions is what he should do. Michael Corleone didn’t personally kill all the heads of the five families. And we don’t know where Gorgu’s story is going exactly, but he didn’t save the day exactly. All the mechs were gone and the pikes were killed. His biggest act was appropriately a peaceful one by putting the rancor to sleep. I don’t know what the franchise is supposed to do if this can’t be accepted as good to great content.

Yeah Grogu just "saved the day" after it was already saved..

I checked out an episode because of someone telling me about digital Luke. It's not quite there. It looks like a really good portrait of Luke but his facial movements are too reserved. Not enough quirks to be convincing. The dialogue is terrible but I like the music.
Just as a side, I just got a Boba Fett Kenner figure in the mail today. I mailed it to someone who collects them and after 2 months it came back for insufficient postage.

I noticed Jin say to Mando “it was the smart move” in referencing the other crime bosses betrayal.
This is what Michael Corleone said to Tom Hagan when they discovered that Tessio had sided with Barzini and the rest of the 5 families.

You're right not quite there yet but a significant improvement from the last season. Disney even hired the guy from youtube that did a better job of Luke. Wonder if he/she made the difference AQUA EDGE! Grandmaster taylorfirst1

I’ll have access to DisneyFlix for a couple days (house sitting). Or am I better off just using the hot tub and taking naps in all the beds?
