You can choose any five characters from any of the shows, movies, etc - whether they be regulars, recurring or even single-episode guest stars. Feel free to explain your choices if you want to.
Mine:
Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) from Star Trek: Voyager - Jeri Ryan proved she was more than just someone who looked good in a catsuit and was able to convey many layers to a character who at first may have appeared a bit too ‘robotic’ (not just because of her Borg implants).
Data (Brent Spiner) from Star Trek: The Next Generation - Like with Jeri Ryan’s portrayal of Seven, Spiner was able to bring so much to a character who was often referred to as a ‘robot’, conveying a lot with just a look/reaction and making his character feel more ‘human’ than a lot of the actual human characters.
The Doctor (Robert Picardo) from Star Trek: Voyager - His character could’ve just felt like a bit of a cliché, but Picardo added so much depth to The Doctor and was one of the best parts of the show, I thought.
Mirror Universe Philippa Georgiou (Michelle Yeoh) from Star Trek: Discovery - I just love her wicked sense of humour and ‘DGAF’ attitude, plus she kicks major arse.
Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) from Star Trek: The Next Generation - He may be a bit of a grump at times, but he feels like the most ‘well-rounded’/developed ST Captain I’ve seen and more often than not it seemed like he was pretty ‘fair’ with the decisions he made.
Note: I haven’t watched TOS or DS9, in case anyone was wondering why I didn't include any characters from those two shows among my choices.

Benjamin Sisko Data Spock Nog Elim Garrack Okay, I'll have to look up those last two names to see who they are. I'm surprised you didn't include Q on your list, Grandmaster.

Even though I enjoyed the Q episodes on TNG, DS9 and Voyager and he is definitely one of my favorites these five are actually quite dear to me. Especially Elim Garrack. Andrew Robinson is the uncrowned Master of Lies in this show. An enigma whose view of humanity had me question my views of that race. And that, my friend, is what Star Trek is all about. That great exploration of your own mind and soul.

Don't forget to mention their onscreen wives, Egg Nog and the red headed foster mother Mrs. Garrick.

This is difficult because I have so much love for the DS9 characters. But I have to go with Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Scotty, Quark. I may change my mind and edit it later 😃

Bones Worf The EMH Gul Dukat Damar this is why a top 5 list is so hard for me. There’s a few right there I hated to leave out

My experience is very limited so this may be cliche, but the originals have continued to be my favorites.

Nurse Chapel was awesome. Wouldnt know. Was just being contrarian I know, but she was still awesome... she was played by the First Lady of Star Trek, Majel Roddenberry.

I haven't seen Voyager or Enterprise and yet my brain still broke in half trying to figure this one.
Spock
Jadzia Dax Sisko Garak ... tossup between Bones, Dukat and Worf (Wharf Wharfington to his friends)
Honorable mention to super gangster Ro Laren and the man who could roll out of bed and outsmart Sisko, Michael Eddington (perhaps Esquire).

I hadn't yet reached any of her episodes in ST: TNG when I started this thread, but after having seen quite a few episodes with her now, I'd say she's a favourite of mine also.
