I was surprised to see it announced at the VGA.
Hopefully it's good.

I regret to inform everyone that I’m not a massive gamer. I never even owned a P3. Skipped an entire generation. I had to be informed that the controllers were now wireless when I got a PS4, after I was pissed about the short chords ;-) I have since played 2 Assassin's Creeds, Watch Dogs 1 & 2, FIFA 14, Red Dead 2, Alien Isolation, some of Elder Scrolls Online, No Man’s Sky, Ghost of Tsushima, Fall Guys, and some others. But no Mass Effect I’m afraid

I used to be heavy into gaming as a teen. That was mostly during the transition from standard graphics to "HD" quality. That was a giant leap for me and kept me engaged for years on hundreds of titles. The shift from HD to 4K wasn't that dramatic, though. Now I play maybe four or five games a year if they have a novel premise or gameplay mechanic. I was an ME stan when I was a kid, but I went back to replay some of that stuff recently, and it just wasn't the same. Hope some new fans get into this new version - I'll probably pass unless it gets intensely good reviews. Honestly, who has the time anymore?

To be fair, it depends on what your recreational interests are. I dont play anymore and was never a hardcore gamer. Usually only ever played on friends' consoles and LAN Dota at the internet cafe. I say usually as the only console I ever owned was the SNES (even then I was late to the party I believe lol-played it in the 2000s) and then my parents banned me from it. I guess because of that I never really bought another one. Although I still follow some news and do watch some game movies on youtube for the story-latest was Last of Us Part 2. I do intend to buy a console at some point but definitely not in the near future-really want to play that Spider-Man game but I fear when I finally get around to it Ill have to download an emulator or something. Also kinda worried about its addictive nature tbh lol

Also kinda worried about its addictive nature tbh lol I hear you, man. I probably spent three solid years of my young-adult life doing nothing but playing video games or working my (then) dead-end job. I was into the LAN-Party scene for a while too. LOL! It seems like that all happened in another lifetime. I've owned every Playstation except the latest one, which I don't plan to buy. It just doesn't make sense when you can build a faster, more powerful rig for just a few dollars more and get freedom from Sony and Microsoft's restrictive ecosystems. This year, I decided to build a modern PC gaming box (which replaces an older HP Omen rig). It can handle double and triple-A titles, but I don't have the time or interest in playing them. I've got two certification exams to study for and several side projects to complete before the year ends. I may have wasted my money building the box because my gaming time is becoming minimal at best. I've only played three games this whole year.

I think it’s a billion stars if I recall and 3-5 planets each star. All of humanity couldn’t explore it all. They’ve grown it since I stopped playing awhile back, so it’s more robust now. When I was on it, it was an interesting cosmic flight simulator, but there wasn’t really much to do. You could mine various elements and slowly gathering engine parts to make longer and longer space jumps. But the planets weren’t varied enough to hold my interest forever. I would like to check out the updates though.

I love the first three. I’ve played them twice. I heard such terrible things about the fourth that I never bought it.
If this one is good then sign me up!

I'm curious about what they're going to do with this. Since Liara is in this and it's obviously set in the Milky Way Galaxy post Mass Effect 3, how will the endings effect the story? Will they still incorporate player choices and let us use certain endings? Or will they just pick one and making it canon within the game's story? I know that there's a dead reaper in the background as well as a destroyed mass relay floating in space.
Have they abandoned the Andromeda story or will they incorporate that into this game since they showed both Galaxies at the beginning of the trailer?
Will Shephard return? Or are we getting a new protagonist?
